From my mind,
Do I try,
To banish thoughts,
Thoughts of you.
Keep your face,
From my memory,
Oh how I try,
To forget your smile.
Erase the touch of your hands,
From my heart,
Remove the lingering caress of your lips,
From my burning soul.
To let our love fade,
Into the past,
Where it can glow and live.
Not here not now,
It can only die and wither away.
