This is one of my earliest poems...enjoy!
Darkness engulfs the mind.
Power surges through the body.
A blinding flash,
A light rebounds off the darkness.
A Struggle of light and dark,
A struggle for control.
A battle fought for eternity,
The balance swinging once and again.
One relents after a long battle.
One reigns after a victory.
They both know it will come again.
They rest and strengthen themselves.
Lord Darkness and Lady Light,
One rules the night and the other light.
Twice a day they coexist
As Dusk and Dawn.
The battle rages for control.
A world of darkness or a world of light.
The battle rages on…
As it has and always will.
