I've just logged on and seen the site's new header!

I'm obviously an old fashioned prude as I really don't like it. I would like to choose what I see and when.

Am I alone?

I did wonder why they suddenly appeared!

I was thinking, oh, well, perhaps I get to see more and more things as the days go by! .. lol

Now I know. It's keep this site free .. can only be a good thing!

I understand the cost of running a site like this, but those pictures are a bit much. If there's financial issues for those running the site, I'd like to think that saying, "Hey. Could you throw us a few bucks? We don't want to put ads on the site." would help.

It may just be me, but it doesn't bother me. I to own a web site and can see that the cost of running one can be a bit much, and you can't always count on your members chipping it to keep it running. Most will just go else where or say"someome else will pay" or " how much does it cost anyways" I usually only go on these sites when I have privacy anyways.

thats right folks the real world ---the more members we get ---the more posts we have the more bandwidth we use the more it cost to maintain the website---so if you want to see the headers gone ---I suggest enough of you join the support pay site to help pay to keep this site going ----or just learn to live with it ----this has been gone over before and it is getting kind of old ----you want a free site ---well guess what the old saying that there ain't no free lunch is true ---someone has to pay the bills----it is either you or sponsors----and there are not many sponsors willing to sponsor kinky sites like this one. Where most subjects are tabboo---

Ed I do not know what you hope to accomplish by this post --no matter if everyone felt like you do ---the headder pays the bills---do you want to pay to come here----so the header will stay ---learn to live with it is what I suggest ----

and by some of your posts I do not see how you can be considered old fashion ---there is not much old fashion about this site ---we have a life style that was once in the closet so to speak ---now we are out and free to speak and enjoy ourselves---that is the whole purpose of this site---

I agree with subwife. Having children makes it hard to get on this site during the day. I was suprised to see it when I logged on. But I guess i will have to do it in the evenings when i have free time instead of during the day. Now i will be on even less.....:32:

I agree that i like this site and glad it is free..and understand the reason for having it. It was just a suprise to see when we logged on.

Guys its just at the top of the page... if you scroll down an inch.. you can't see it.. I don't think it'd be that hard to "block" from others eyes if you didn't want them to see it... just my opinion.

sorry but we are growing at a rapid rate of speed---and the cost are going thru the roof ---I am sure they are even adding fuel sur charges--lol

but you do have to understand this is an adult site---where you are liable to see adult pictures---so I guess no one thought you would need a warning to put the sponsors on----

once again the number of sponsors willing to sponsor a site like ours are few and far between ----and then it was brought up in the other post like this one when the sponsor adds were put on the main page---why not put them at the bottom of the page or use text ads---the answer is ---that defeats the purpose of the ads---they tend to work where they are most seen ---and picture ads draw more attention then text ads---so the ads will stay ---

and they will be in the most visable place ---sorry but it is either that or go to being a pay site ---

Rabbit1: Again, I appreciate the cost of running this place, and believe me, I'm sure we're all grateful for it. But the pay site attached to here isn't necessarily going to appeal to everybody. Quite honestly, the home page for it freaked me out a bit. Just because we're all here doesn't mean we're all, for lack of a better phrase at the moment, the same level of kinky. And, to be quite honest, I think the ads are going to scare off some people.

A lot of sites have a system where people can send a PayPal donation now and then and, on occasion, have fund raising drives. Is there any way that we could do that here?

I appreciate that this may all have been discussed before. But I've been here for about 5 weeks and I haven't seen any sort of discussion about it or any mention that the ads were forthcoming. Perhaps I'm being too naive or hopeful that people would be willing to throw $5 or $10 your way every so often. But I'd like to think some would, given the chance.

That has been tried before at other sites ---you would be suprised at the small number of people willing to donate----look at the number of members ---then compare it with the number of posters---do you think the few could cover the bandwidth of the many---like I said it is either this or all that access the site will have to pay to do so ----

We do not tend to beg the sponsor site has been on the main page since before the owner bought this site ----the link to it was put there by me a while ago ---so I am guessing donation or anything where not very forthcoming ---now there is nothing you or I or this decussion can do to change it ---we can grin an bear it ----

now I am going to end this decussion by two ways one is closing the thread---the second way is to be very blunt in saying what I guess needs to be said

this is a free site ---which means if you do not like it ---you lose not a penny by not coming back---nuff said

What do I hope to accomplish? I hope to make my feelings known-and seemingly the feelings of others. I was under the impression that I could post comments and suggestions under the banner "Comments and Suggestions".

I make the comment about being old-fashioned as I favour keeping my viewing and writing to a mild level. This is my taste and I believe my post reflected this point. I said that I don't like it-because I don't. Did I ask for it's removal? No.Did I ask for opinions? Yes.

I have not been asked for a contribution-although I'll say I've only been here a short time.
