I'm just full of questions today, lol.

I have literally no experience with electric shock devices at all. But they interest me somewhat (not a big thing for me, but never stop learning), both from the sub and Dom perspective. Anyone have a good resource of information on the subject, or experience to share?

I have found the Castlerealm (www.castlerealm.com) to be a good source of information in the past.

Electrical play needs to be approached with caution from both sides. Low voltage toys like a tens unit are always a safe bet. However you must know if your submissive has a weak heart, or a family history of a weak heart. You can go up from there in intensity. Recently I have found an electrical flyswatter. Fun toy, great "paddle" and makes her jump and run like nothing else. However the flyswater strength is quite strong, so the time touching the body must be very quick.

Use the above link for starters. With electrical play, ensure you try out the toy on yourself first! Most people will tell you to try out all toys on yourself first, I don't do that with some things, and make dam sure I do with others. For me it depends on the safety level involved, on if I try it out first or not.

The electrical flyswatter as a paddle had occured to me... but I have tried touching one with my hand only and I thought the shock seemed a bit much at first, I only touched it the once which was enough to produce an out loud "holy shit" (I've seen one of those things literally cause a small lightning bolt to jump a couple inches to kill a fly, seems excessive, if amusing). I could see using one, in moderation. In fact, just thinking out loud I think it would make a very interesting punishment device.

One of the things that really caught my interest on this subject was a butt plug you could use to send an electric charge. I can't link directly there due to rules but that doesn't stop me from quoting about it as far as I know. I'll highlihgt a certain section that caught my eye.

"Electric Butt Plug

This black butt plug is made from plastic, with electro conductive strips embedded on each side. The plug has an hourglass shape to conform to anal anatomy. The circuit is completed between the two sides, and the plug produces stimulating electrical sensations wherever it is inserted. This is a fun, stimulation and sadistic toy because it causes the user to have involuntary anal muscle contractions.

Customer Review:
My wife & I bought 2 of these units. The effect is quite unbelievable, to say the least. We play backgammon for sex bets, while each wearing one of these anal electo plugs. When it's our turn, the other turns the EMS controller so that we can barely think to make our move. When turned up higher, you are forced to hump and jump about, with no way to resist the powerful electric pulses. At a medium setting, your anal muscles are forced to butt fuck yourself with the plug. We find this a VERY exciting toy"

I have to admit, that thing caught my interest. Would also consider trying other stuff too of course, though without having really tried any "official" electric toys I couldn't yet say how I'd react to them.

And you're right CrewDawg, of course start slow and don't go too crazy right off. Safety first, of course.

I have experienced electric shock play before. At times it can be quite erotic and senusal if it is done right. One time I was playing with my master and the voltage for the wand was too high. It felt like my vagina was being burned. So always be careful during electric shock play. It can hurt as much as it can arouse.

Shock play can be fun if done SSC...

Please, do not fall for that POS tens unit offered by IGEA... After a car accident, I was first intorduced to the tens unit in therapy.. WOW.. The one that is sold be IGEA is 1/8th the power it should be.. a bare tingle compared to what it should be.. I purchased one, in hopes we could get some duel use out of it.. a little of at home therapy for me, and some kinky fun for us..

Oh Well.. No substitute for the real thing

I just bought an electrostim unit. If you get the right setting it can feel really good. I also discovered the not so good feeling, which would be lots of fun to apply to someone else :)

I have a battery operated unit, which I had been using with the cock straps. I thought the battery was running down so I was turning the juice up. I stopped and put it down for a few minutes then came back. Now the first setting when you turn it on is burst mode. So I turned it on to discover that the battery had recovered and my 75% full setting hit me :)

Suffice to stay I winced a bit and appretiated somewhat how the girls on WiredPussy must feel or the guys on MenInPain. It might hurt a bit buts its a huge turn-on as well.

I would suggest you check out SmartStim.com. Great electrosex site. I own an ET-312B and originally bought it for the pleasure side of it. I quickly discovered that nice pain/pleasure boundary which is so fun to play around with. Now that I am into BDSM my wife uses it as a torture device on me. It has plenty of power to hurt, very badly, but still not cause any real harm if you follow some basic rules.

There are all sorts of electrodes you can buy for them. The possibilities are endless. Just remember keep it below the waist and do not use it on anyone with heart problems, a history of seizures, or any implanted electronic medical device.
