Mistake
I remember she had blue eyes.
She had chestnut brown hair.
She had softly toned legs.
She moved like a woman, not a girl.
Yes, I remember.
I remember she sat next to me.
She even made small talk once or twice.
She liked my taste in music.
She wanted to know more about me.
Yes, I remember.
I remember she had a pretty blue dress.
She could speak French.
She spoke with a voice that gave me butterflies it was so sweet.
She had such pretty hands.
Yes, I remember.
I remember she had an elegance beyond her years.
She was quiet but not afraid.
She gave me goosebumps the first time I saw her.
She had a boyfriend and I hated his guts even though I didn’t know him.
Yes, I remember.
I remember I was just a kid, and so was she.
She was two years younger than me, I think.
She was the prettiest girl I’ve ever seen.
She walked away because I let her leave.
Yes, I remember.
Note: I actually couldn't decide whether to put this in erotic or non-erotic poetry and went back and forth on the decision several times. In the end I settled on putting it here. Despite a lack of sexual content and how it ends, the girl none the less was erotic, at least to me.
