How do you devise a contract for a submissive/slave.
Where can you get a boiler plate that you can customize.

It might be fun to make one up and customize it and post the results.

Maybe my favorite contract

Please no! Don't close this thread! Contracts and contract negotiation are something very dear to me in terms of D/s. I'm a creature of honor and to be bound by my word to someone means a lot to me.

I also tend to be a very independent, outgoing woman. I'm poly and very, very careful to give others their space and expect to have mine respected as well. I like time for myself.

That said, I love to obsess over the smallest details of pleasing a Domme... bathing her, dressing her, cleaning for her... not just serving her sexually or being tied up. Though those are fun too! :D

Having a contract with a Dominant gives me a way to put in writing and agree upon just how I may obsess and what the limits and expectations of that obsession are. The contract allows me to let go... to obsess and not feel guilty about it because it's an agreement.

Anyway...

There are two templates on WizDomme (http://wizdomme.com/) that you may find useful. I don't like the 100 Percent Submission Contract (http://wizdomme.com/infopack/contract1.shtml) very much, but that's my taste. I dig the Temporary Submission Contract (http://wizdomme.com/infopack/contract2.shtml) though. It's what I use as a base for the contracts I draw up with my own submissives.

Here is a Sample Contract (http://www.dementedkitty.com/dswavs/01sample.rtf) from me. It was one of the last contracts I did with one of my life partners. I edited it only a bit for posting here, taking out our full names and what not.

I also found this one (http://dementedkitty.com/dswavs/02sample.rtf) on the net some time ago. It's lengthy. I'm unsure of the source.

You may also wish to consider Slave kas' contract (http://slavekas.com/pcontract.html). It has a few good points not covered well in the others.

Hmm... that's all I can think of at the moment. I hope this helps.

There's an article on Slave Contracts and the Law (http://www.soulshaven.f2s.com/gen_contractsandlaw.php3) from Souls Haven (http://www.soulshaven.f2s.com/). Souls Haven also offers a kickin' online BDSM checklist (http://www.soulshaven.f2s.com/nchk_main.php3). It's the checklist I use to state and reference limits and boundaries with contracts with my submissives and I suggest it to the Dommes I serve.

I almost forgot about Sir Kelly's Slave Contract Generator (http://www.sirkelly.com/contract.html)! It doesn't provide the best contracts in my opinion, but they're great to be used as a base to be tailored.

kristydoll has a sample on her ezine as well. Check it here (http://www.kristydoll.com/contract) if you wish.

Try a Google search for "slave contract"
I tried it to be sure and got page after page.

You know, in this day and age a written agreement might come in handy if you break up and one claims it was NOT consensual.

Worries me.

Not to mention that, while slave contracts are not legal and will not stand up in court as an argument in and of themselves, such a contract can show consent in the event the authorities show up on your doorstep because a neighbor called.

Some of the links don't work anymore, but I still found this thread helpful and interesting.

Wikipedia has a useful article on contracts too: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Contract_%28BDSM%29

On the whole, Wiki has a great deal of BDSM-related discussion. It's not an undisputed authority in any way, but at least most of these articles have been written by people within the BDSM scene who know what they are talking about:

Heh, the links are four years old? Yikes. I haven't been to this forum in a while...

Good point about wikipedia, Louise.

Contracts can be used to show willing participation but mostly they are used to deal with misunderstands that could cause a break up.

I have offered else where to post a blank contract and I guess I will soon
