I found a picture that fits with jan311's story Jane and Carol at the Great Slave Hunt I wanted to send it, but the contact the author, email thing wouldn't accept the attachment. I'm not sure about posting it, you know copyright and all. Is there a way I can send it?

I'm not sure if the 'contact the author' form works via the PM system. If it does, you can't send attachments via PM since it's for text messages only. Maybe if the author has an email address published with the story you could send it through your normal email account?
Not sure if this is what you've been looking for - kinda low tech girl here. *grins*

Yeah the easiest IMO is to contact them & ask for their email addy.
Or simply post the pic on a freehosting site such as http://www.imagevenue.com/ & send them the link via PM or email.
