Shatter

One moment
Can break you
Shatter you into ten thousand pieces
And after it is over
You can spend a lifetime
Trying to put it back together again

But

Could one moment
Heal you
Repair all that has gone before
Make it okay
To spend your lifetime
As something whole again?

Very nice Timberwolf, it speaks to me of both the fragility and the possibilities within each fleeting moment. Thank you.

You know when my first husband left me that's how I felt Shattered...I can really identify with this poem.

First I think I've seen of you, Super Bitch. Fun avatar.

Timberwolf you are fast becoming our "Poet Laureate". I really enjoy your work. Obviously you are an incredibly sensitive guy - nice to see in these times we live in.

I wrote a lot when I was younger and never kept my work. It's a great way to measure your growth and a timeline for where you are/were at so please do yourself a favour and make sure you keep them :)

Thanks for your (too) high praise!

I am saving all my work. I did quite a bit in my last year and a half of high school, most of it wasn't that good... but it's all gone now. Not going to make that mistake again.
