The Case of the Missing Posts

I posted to the Pony Ranch thread in roleplay last night and not only my last post but darknight666's post has disappeared as well. Hers has diappeared twice. I also posted a thread in General Talk and it has gone as well.

Anyone else having these probs? I know the server is being moved and probably has something to do with it. Very frustrating when you do a long role play post and cant remember what you wrote. I'm not having a go at anyone. Just bringing it to the attention of whoever needs to know.

Yep, it's happened with some of mine as well. Someone in another thread mentioned that it might have something to do with the particular timing of those posts. They might have been posted on the 'old' site but weren't there early enough to have made it to the 'new' one, and so were lost in nirvana.

I'm sorry that you lost some longer posts, Gregsta. Let's just hope that with the new, bigger server working now, this won't happen again. It doesn't seem to be an ongoing issue - more one that had to do with unfortunate timing as I understand it.

yes it happened when the site was moved to a new server ---but it is a small price to pay for a better more stable server ---seems to be faster also ---just one of the ooopsss that happens ---there are a few more kinks to work out yet ---
