I CANNOT TELL YOU WHERE I AM GOING…BUT I AM GOING TO WAR.
TO A LAND BEYOUND THE SUNRISE WHERE I HAVE NEVER BEEN BEFORE.
I CANNOT TELL YOU WHERE I AM GOING… FOR FREEDOME IS MY RIGHT.
I CANNNOT TELL YOU OF MY MISSION IN THE DARKNESS OF THE NIGHT
BUT WHEREEVER I AM GOING I WILL SERVE AMONG THE BRAVE FOR THE HONOR OF OLD GLORY AND AMERICA TO SAVE.
AND IF I FALL IN BATTLE AND WAVE OF DEATH IS SURE, I CANNOT TELL YOU
WERE I AM GOING WHEN I KNOCK ON HAVEN`S DOOR.
REMEMBER I`M A GREEN BERET… SPOILING FOR A FIGHT- A WARRIOR FOR
DEMOCRACY AND FOR MY NATION`S MIGHT.
AND WENT MY FLAG IS HAFT-MAST GENTLY BLOWING IN THE BREEZE,
I AM NO MORE AT ATTENTION… I AM GONE…AND NOW AT EASE.
AND ONE DAY WE WILL MEET AGAIN UPON THAT GOLDEN SHORE
`CAUSE I KNOW WHERE I`M GOING… AND KNOW WHERE I`M GOING.
FOLKS, WE ALL KNOW I AM GOINF INTO GOD`S ARMS ONCE MORE…

This one not only goes out to my fellow brothers of the spercial froces (green berets) (which by the way is just head gear, smiles). But to all of the hero`s in all the Army`s, Navy`s, Air Force`s. In all the countrys around the world, who have gone to do there duty as there country has ask them to do.

As ever Rob your work tugs at my heart. The bond that "Brothers in Arms" feel is a special one long after the job is done. Stay safe my brother, stay safe.

Be safe and thanks for your service to our country and your poem.

Hide that Green Beret under a helmet and keep your head down and rifle clean.

Master Rob, if I was in the forces I would salute you for your work, but as your friend I hug you for who you are.
