Hi there. I don't write poems, except for this one. It's based on the 'most users online' stat - if you go to the front page of the forums and scroll down to the bottom, you will see that a remarkable number of users were online on 6/9/2003. This poem tells of that day. In the true folk music tradition, I invite you to add extra verses if you want!

There once was a day back in Summer Oh-Three,
When virgins were careless and happy and free
Recorded in stone, it's a fact that shines bright,
There were Six One Eight Nine, right here, on this site

I know it sounds crazy but I swear that it's true
You can check it yourself, which I urge you to do,
They must have been cramped in deliciously tight
What with Six One Eight Nine right here, on this site

Imagine what happened, on that fateful day
With thousands of perverts, all eager to play
The lick and the kiss, the nibble and bite
With Six One Eight Nine, all here, on the site

There was whipping and stripping and prodding and fisting
And face-slapping frenzies till all eyes were misting
There wasn't a sub's ass that stayed pale and white
Not with Six One Eight Nine, right here, on this site

Slut Lisa was tied tight, a delectable hell,
Vibe strapped to her pussy, and ballgagged as well,
She came till she fainted, what a terrible plight
Seen by Six One Eight Eight, right here, on this site

Dom Dan got all stroppy, and showed no respect
To a young gal from Lisbon who made him erect
Her pals cut his balls, flew his sac like a kite
So take care when there's Six One Eight Nine, on this site

Then a lucky old vampire was pounced on by girls
They squeezed him and stroked him, made pubic-hair swirls
In pure self defence, he'd gnash and he'd bite,
One of Six One Eight Nine tales from that hot dark night

There was wine to be had, to help you unwind
If something was spilled, well no-one would mind
The maids would all come, clean it up nice and bright
Pleased to be in the Six One Eight Nine on the site

As for me, I prefer those twenty or thirty
Who come here right now, all funny and flirty
They're kind and more honest, more cute and polite
Than the Six One Eight Nine that once came to this site.

And once again Q, you do us so fine
With pearls from the pen which writes your byline.
The crème de la crème hold hands and unite
So pleased we are not Six One Eight Nine this site.

Fabulous, Q - you must keep them coming. And write more poems as well.

If I may.....?

There were folk from all over the world dropping in
So our best cunning linguists were forced to begin.
A talent with tongues helps the evening go right
Especially with Six One Eight Nine on the site.

For the names you don't know can be hard, said or sung
And an alien member is tough on the tongue.
A healthy girl swallowed eight new ones that night,
But a Sick One Ate Nine in a row on this site

Oh you've done it now Q,
your fingers will turn blue,
writing many a verse,
you just may need a nurse....

Thanks for all the kind words and extra verses, people! And thanks for the mental image of frankee in a nurse's uniform. Yumm. That'd be worth a sonnet or two. What rhymes with "catheter"?

Yes, it does have a rhythm, it is called iambic pentameter and what a marvelous example it is. Q is incredibly talented.

Clever, very clever and Colins addition as well,
I must do some thinking so my input will be as swell,
for you never do know who here you will see,
it could be one or it could be six one nine three

Four more it is true and over the top
It will roll on and on and who knows where it will stop
One day we may find, the site overloaded and crashed
Six one eight nine surpassed all hopes have been dashed

Perhaps six nine six nine for then all would be stacked and not face to face
With views of each other in the sexiest of place
Too many at once and the server will crash
and then the Rabbit can finally demand our cash

And gladly we would pay on that fateful day
When six one eight nine is exceeded for all time
And what is your guess at the new high end limit?
Tag lines continue so please wont you spin it

Second Monday in June, Two Thousand and Three,
Was the night on which they all came to see
There were slaves, doms and subs, and even a knight
That time there were Six One Eight Nine on the site.

At the head of them all stood Rabbit so tall,
He watched the Doms prowl, and he watched the subs crawl,
His cane on his knee, his eyes glinting bright,
As he looked down on the Six One Eight Nine on the site.

And then there were trolls, so smooth in their leather
They strutted around seeking slaves for to tether
Their egos were huge but experience light
When Six One Eight Nine were here on this site.

[Dedicated to Demon Goddess.]

Since that fateful day, the numbers have dwindled
And the hopes of such figures were never rekindled
But now we can say what has happened since
Though some of the details may well make you wince

There was a great cull, from an ominous presence
Though in actual fact, she's actually quite pleasant
They called her the Goddess, though they are polite,
For she's also a Demon - oh yes, that is right.

She looked on the site and said "This won't do!
It should be nirvana, but in fact it's quite poo.
There's too many people, some will have to go."
And that's how it started, so now you all know.

She started on non-posting lurkers, all silent,
But they sure made a noise when the Demon got violent,
She slaughtered a hundred, but then her eyes softened,
She let off the rest, when they said "we'll post often."

And as for the snobs, who shunned all the newbies,
She cut off their balls, or sliced off their boobies
"The new ones will leave if you don't catch them quick
You should welcome them in with a passionate lick."

And as for the trolls who dwelled under the bridge
She swatted them dead, as though killing a midge
"You need to grow up, kids, and be a respecter,
If you don't manage that, I'll have to eject yer."

Her fury was wild, her targets were quaking,
But she didn't keep count of the kills she was making,
The survivors were made up of a few tiny groups,
And Demon-G saw this and then just said "Oops."

"We need some new leaders," the Goddess did say,
"To keep this place happy and jolly and gay,"
When Rabbit, and Aesop, and Curious too
Signed up to help out, DG said "Adieu."

She left us that day, said "You should be rewarded,
If you keep this site safe and consensual and sordid,
You'll get lots of hugs, you delectable mods,
If anyone bugs you, ignore them, they're sods."

So that is the end of this terrible tale
Of the gal who made grown men and women all wail
A Goddess's anger, a Demon's Delight
When Six One Eight Nine were wiped out from this site.
