Years ago, a Dom friend of mine asked me if I could describe subspace to him. I tried and tried, but could not find the words to even remotly give it justice. That night I couldn't sleep as mythoughts were focoused on how subspace made me feel. I got out of bed and sat at the puter and wrote these three poems....

"The Wait"

My body quivers slightly,
against the unrelenting wood.
The world is black as pitch,
beneath the leather hood.
Wrists are shackled firmly,
to this faithful cross.
My body eagerly awaits the kiss,
awaits the very first toss
Of the whip that He will soon pick up,
the choice is purely His.
I tremble as I stand there,
anticipating His every wish.
Oh! so long i wait there,
each second seems a day.
Waiting for the leather's kiss,
upon my skin to lay.
I think how funny that it seems,
although I'm bound and blind.
I see things even clearer now,
and my freedom here I find.
I listen for every little sound,
each hint of what's to come.
Every tiny noise I hear,
I seek to where it's from.
The agony as I wait there,
surely shows upon my flesh.
As I begin to writhe softly,
yearning for the lash.

"The Kiss"

Softly, it begins at first,
almost teasingly it seems.
Leather flutters across my flesh,
filling my deepest dreams.
It's caresses soon grow stronger,
warming first skin, and then the soul.
Each lash upon the reddened skin,
slowly takes it's toll.
As they lovingly leave their mark,
to remind me when I return
The feel of Master's leathers touch,
that makes my soul churn.
The strikes grow faster, lightening hot,
my body begins to dance.
As the heat courses across me,
my feet begin to prance.
Oh the painful ecstasy,
oh the joyful bliss.
As the leather cracks upon me,
this feeling I have missed.
The sting, the burn, as it hugs my flesh,
each kiss of leather embraced.
Working it's magic over me,
so long I craved the taste.
I close my eyes, melt to the whip,
move softly to it's touch.
As it moves across my body,
awakening it and such.
A feeling, it embraces me,
as I begin the dance.
Warmth and safety flow through me,
under my Master's glance.

"Freeflight"

The sharpness begins to lesson,
sounds begin to fade,
My body begins to feel lighter,
in a place that has been made.
To release all my inhibitions,
and let my spirit free.
This place is made for merely one,
and that is only me.
It's such a very special place,
I hold close to my heart.
I scan the now familiar view,
as my flight takes start.
The ledge that my feet stand upon,
so high above the pond
Is hardened stone beneath my feet,
and yet, I look beyond.
The waterfalls, always silently crashing,
to the depths below...
and softly flowing threw the trees,
my path it clearly shows.
With trust and faith I take my leap,
from the safety of the ledge
Flying toward the shimmering surface
of the water's edge.
Like a guided sparrow I swoop just above,
to follow the watery path.
As I sail freely up the river,
my soul silently laughs.
I'm filled with such emotion,
so graceful and so free
That I know deep inside my heart,
this place is for only me.
Sometimes, the unseen birds,
that hide within the trees
Lift their songs and sing to me,
joyous that I'm free.
I know this place, and I know I'm safe,
there's nothing here to fear.
As I glide on across the stream,
until Master's voice I hear.
Gently, He will call me back,
to take my place with Him...
So I bid this place farewell,
as it grows slowly dim.
And slowly as my eyes open,
a smile caresses my lips.
A soul was sent to freedom,
returning so glad she's His.

It is obvious that you put a lot of thought into writing these and it shows. Again, great writings.

Desperadosong, awesome work. You have truly painted a picture with all its colours vivid and real. It is difficult to post a comment when I read work such as this because it touches a place in my soul and moves me in a way that is so hard to articulate.

It is so very easy just to say "good stuff" or "nice poems" when what has been offered is so much more. Now I think I am rambling. Thank you for sharing something so personal in such a meaningful way.
