View Full Version : Linking and Hot Linking policy
Mods - I have a question about linking to a video on youtube.com. If I post a link to a youtube clip, is that considered a hotlink and not allowed, or is that just a regular link?
Thanks for the great job your doing with the site btw.

If you'd link it so that the video showed up directly on this site without it having been uploaded here - that's hotlinking.
If you post a link to YouTube, that someone can click on and be directed to their site - not hotlinking.

generally links to help sites like you have been posting ID are acceptible ---links to comercial sites or sites you have to join or personal web sites are not allowed to be posted --as a hey come see this or it is considered advertising and our sponsors do not want to pay to advertise other comercial sites or homepages ----we do have a share links in The Cellar but there again they are non comercial sites mostly file sharing sites like rapidshare or mega upload
