last night, DCmaster85 duct-taped me to the floor of the chat room. in return for my freedom, i traded a poem. His requested words:
bliss, release, stars

this poem still needs a title. Anyone?

it is said
that, long ago,
when this fragile world was but newborn
the Goddess and Her Consort
the Lady and Her Lord
did walk the land
and were, then, as we are now:
flesh, and earthbound.

it is said
that now, in this time,
as this gaudy world spins with more speed than grace
the Goddess and Her Consort
the Lady and Her Lord
do seek Their release through us
and by the transcendent alchemy of power and pain
strength and supplication
the sacrament of exquisite torment offered and accepted
is all flesh made flame.

it is said
that, one day,
when this weary world basks in the carmine light of a dying sun
that We shall be
the Goddess and Her Consort
the Lady and Her Lord
and in Our eternal bliss
You shall sire Gods upon me
and I shall be mother to stars...

I don't even know what to say about that one, and I mean that in the good way. I already read it three times.

Just... you're really, really good at this.

elyse, you are a beautiful spirit, and have amazing talent. I can't wait for my poem.

I will say it again - if I was into chicks, you would be the one. *smiles*

As you draw near
I hear the mutter of the worried earth
The joyous girl, the crystal clear
Deliver us of our poor hearts from naked fear
As you draw near

As you draw near
I feel the goddess, her celestial birth
The fullness of a love so real
The twilight of the god in me glows in my tear
As we draw near

The Tea Party - The edges of twighlight

Unfortunately not my words but pertinent none the less. Thanks elyse an amazing poem.
