*I wrote this about 5 mins ago.

I enter the chamber
Abandoned and desolate
Cobwebs brushing my clothing
Fingers revealing
Well loved memories
Watching them come to life
Through snail-like trails of dust

Remembering the warmth
The bright spark that held my heart
Listening ever so carefully
As the water drips
The coldness sending shivers
Deep into my restless heart
Quietly as a mouse I creep
Fearful if I disturb his rest
Repercussions and consequences

Suddenly recalling
With a quickened heart
That it was in the past
I have nothing to fear
Yet it was that fear, I craved
Within that fear, was love and trust

Tiptoeing through a room of pleasure
Remembering what it was like
To have a soul that was merged with another
A spirit held in check with a loving caress
For a moment not feeling so alone

Sighing with a cold snap into reality
Heavy hearted I stand in the doorway
Amid the cobwebs and dust
Reflecting on what was
And realising what is
Locking the door for all time

I agree...very powerful. This, brings so many thoughts of what it will be like to enter Master's Chamber for good.

How beautifully you write. This truly brought tears to my eyes. Such a sense of grief. To have found and then lost.

That was great but I especially loved the quote above.

Thankyou for your feedback. Sometimes things just float away out of your grasp and before you know it fade away, but the memory lingers, in a breath, a whisper, the sound of rain against a window....shrugs.

Hmmm I may turn that into a poem...lol

*smiles* A few years ago that brief stanza was what held me together.

*hugs* Thankyou Talia, as well.
