Blood
And your heart beats in your ear
Like the thumping of a tribal drum
And this incessant pulsating
Fuels the fires of your hatred.
Yet all amongst these 'men'
Amidst the blood and gore and puss,
Lives just another creature
Another violent, tormenting creature.
That reaches out in darkness
And grips you by the throat,
Pulling you down further
To the incessant murdering heartbeat.
And still you close your eyes and pray
And hope and wish for more,
While the long clawed fingers of 'men'
Grip and tear at human flesh.
A blood curdling scream
Is torn from your lips
As warm, life giving blood
Splatters hard against the wall.
And while your eyes are wide
And the insane laughter echoes all around,
The pain rings through your ears
Shaking your body to the core.
And while those claws hold you close
And tear at the tender pale flesh again,
The warm thick blood drips slowly
Down the warped and dirty stones and bricks
Of humanity.
