This is one of my earliest erotic works. To my knowledge, this is the first time it has been published anywhere for public consumption. Be gentle friends it is but a humble offering.

The Dance

come, take my hand and follow me
as the music of lust unfolds.
and let me lead you though the steps of the dance
as the tale of passion is told.

We will listen to the music of passion
the rythmn that comes from within
The melody made up of our moans and our sighs
and the chorus, a litany of sin.

We will waltz on the rim of our ecstacy
lost in our own delight
We will spin and twirl in a devilish whirl
in a dream in an erotic night.

We will dance on the edge of eternity
without care or fear of the fall
With each step we will tempt the harsh hand of fate
not stopping to hear cautions call.

We will let our emotions consume us
no care of the danger that is near
without note of the speed as we follow its lead
at the abyss of our unheeded fear.

This doesn't just dance, it gallops, the rhythm is fantastic, and it builds up until it pounds. Driving. I love it.

"without note of the speed as we follow its lead"

Dark nights and cloaked demons carrying me off... Woof.

This is absolutely wonderful and is in itself a dance to read if one could ever read a dance, yet at the same time images untold speak behind the nuances of what might be.
Thank you for sharing this:rose:

one of your first I have read as well. Welcome DeSade to the poetry section. My personal getaway. Your poem made it extra special today.
