Ok I should have known better, :)
I just want to warn others. If you’re tempted to install Internet Explorer 7
STOP!!!!!
DON'T!!!!!!
I would call it Internet Molasses.
I couldn’t open anything on one computer and the other barely moved. Thank heaven it did so I could find how to uninstall it.
I’m still having some issues with my 6, I repaired it once already. Will I never learn? Let them work out all the bugs first. Then wait a few months after that.
Hope I stop someone from making the same mistake.

Hi sbbe!
I was also having trouble with the Ie7! It also uploaded pages very slowly, and it wouldn't let me post comments on myspace, but at first I just thought it was myspace! Anywahoo, I finally looked around and found some answers at myspace that said if you had downloaded Ie7 beta, then you would have problems (at myspace) and to uninstall it, and just upload the Ie7....no beta! So I did that and now it's fine....faster too! So maybe that's the problem for you? or was yours just the plain one? If so, then nevermind, cause it's very seldom I can fix my own computer problems, much less anyone else's!
Good luck!

Smiles, Thanks, I should have looked. I'm not sure if it was beta or not and now I'm gun shy.
The panic that ensues when I think I can't get in touch with Master easily!!! OH MY!!! Giggle
Umm I downloaded IE7 and it seems to be working ok for me... though sometimes sites are a little slow loading because of the phishing filter.
Even so, I think Sbbe's advice is good - if you're ok with IE6 you may as well wait for a few fixes to go through.

yep I disabled the phishing filter and things work fine for me also ----but yes anyone not to familar with these things should wait before they download and run IE7
I have actually been running it for months as one of the testers and sending MS feedback on it ---I do not like the phishing filter ---as I keep not personal info on my computer ---I have no need for it ----

i have IE7 with the Phising Filter turned on. i have had zero problems. Although the other day when the forum was down i could have sworn it was due to IE7 at first... a bit gun shy too it seems. Plus Gateway sent me a "service notice" about IE7 and my system not working together. Of course i received this AFTER i had downloaded IE7 and then i couldn't find ANYTHING else about it on the Gateway site so i have just left everything alone. As long as it works i'm not messing with anything else... lol.

you do have to watch adware and spyware --some ad on tool bars do not work well with IE7

Honestly IE has so many holes in it that its not even funny. Adware, spyware, malware can easily get in with IE. Drop IE, install Firefox and/or Opera on your systems. You'll have to worry less about it, and I mean much much less thank you would with IE.
