Whenever I go to a profile I notice this entry. What is it and what are the public groups that it is alluding to. Do I have to wait for an invite? Why am I not being allowed in? I shall scream and scream and scream until I make myself sick if you don't let me in.
But seriously, am I missing something or is this a functionality the site does not use?

There are secret societies hidden within the...
Oh wait... that's Uncle Ed's conspiracy thread...
They can set up threads that only selected members can access. One, The Cellar, for example, is based on the post count. Other's can be based on group membership...
I imagine they use this capability so that moderators, greeters, administrators, etc., can discuss policy.
As far as I know... (and I'm a wizard,) there are no non-administrive groups here.
Rabbit? Is that correct? ...cuz if it isn't.... "I shall scream and scream and scream until I make you sick if you don't let me in."

there are no groups here ----and not private things other than what is stated ---there is a private forum The Cellar ----and one for Greeters and Moderators and now for Projects ---but other than the cellar they are for administrative purposes ----The Cellar is not private per sey you only have to gain a 150 posts to gain admitance --if you request admitance ---
We can have goups ---we just don't

How about a group for Oz's Admirers....
Of course everyone would be a member... so it would be no different than now.

Don't do it rabbit. Set up non-administrative groups and the place will die of cliquedom.
I've seen it happen before.
