I think it would be great if we could upload reasonably sized sound files.

.wav
.mp3

etc.

thanx in advance

Oz, there is a file sharing service that you can do this with. However the link that could be posted is only temporary.

I would be interested in this idea too. However, we wouldn't be able to post songs, unless it was your own creation. Anything created by an artist would be subject to the RIAA wrath if it was posted.

All things considered, I think it would be a cool feature.

I had not appreciated until I read this thread that it was not possible. Not an elegant solution - but is it possible to upload sound files as a .zip file?

Looks at Rabbit...is it possible to extend the list of permitted file types??? Mind you, perhaps you would not wish to, you might be showered with files of subbies begging favours from you.

yes you can zip a mp3 or wma ---or use a file share account such as mega upload or rapidshare---and ID is correct you could only upload mp3s you created such as hellos that you created ----Music or songs are copyrighted

Well, I was thinking more along the lines of clicking the link and hearing something then and there without having to download it and unzipping it.

And I'm talking about relatively small files... like being able to answer a question by posting Curley (of the Three Stooges) crying "Soytently"

lol

Not sure, but I think clips of Curley would fall under the copy protection rules.

I looked to see who would own it. But I didn't find it right away. So Im not sure about that.
