As the wind wisps past on a late summer day
So does life pass us by
In an instant our hopes, dreams, and desires pass us
The only thing left is the memories and emotions that we cherish
Your presence is also like that of a summer breeze
Refreshing yet breath taking when unexpected
Captivating yet tranquil in its purest essence
Every moment is another memory
As you pass by dreams and desires fill my mind
Intoxicating is your essence
Making me drunk with the very thoughts of you
Filling every sense of my mind, overwhelming my consciousness
Pulling desire from deep within
The flames flicker as the inferno prepares to enrage
Uncontrollable is life, enjoy it as if this was the last second
For the sad truth is we are only alive for that last second that we breath
Then the thoughts and desires of past haunt us as the, what ifs of life
I shall not nor do I wish to stop and ask what if
What if today was the last
Then it is with great joy that I spent a moment of my time on you
For time is the only gift we truly possess that cannot be taken away once given
