Last Tuesday, a sun conure that was a part of my family since 2002 had died. Below is a pic of her. she was nice to have around but she was also a pain in the ear as she would squawk from sunup to sundown. In the week she had died, it is amazing how I miss her squawking and how she would climb on my shoulder and then the computer. One time, when mom was at the computer she had the bird, named Sundance, with her, and sundance had jumped off Mom's shoulder and actually typed in the address to Google.

she is in that big aviary in the sky, but she will always remain in my heart.

It is always tough when you lose a pet because they really become like a member of the family. Some may not understand this feeling but I do. I lost two dogs that were just so great of companions and it hurt to the point that I have refused to get another because of the fear of facing the pain of losing them again.

Hope you are back and feeling better now. Time really does heal and enables you to look back with fond memories.

Sorry to hear it Rick. I've had a lot of pets so I've also had to lose a lot of them over the years too. I know how much they can mean to a person, be them furry, feathered, or otherwise.

*hugs*

I know of your love/hate relationship with 'er hon, and just keep in mind that the time she spent with you were good times, she was cared for and loved.
