In the last 24 hours, I have downloaded and installed three new Messenger services; ICQ, Yahoo InstantMessenger and Windows Live Messenger. The first two are accepted easily when I try to enter the handle into my profile, but when I enter the handle for Windows Live Messenger into the MSN Messenger slot, I get a message saying it`s invalid. Never truly understood the Messenger services, but I believed Live Messenger was just an improvement of the old MSN Messenger and connected to that network. If that is so, what`s wrong with my handle? My handle is the same as my username on this site: OttifantSir.
Any help would be nice.
Also, help on finding people to actually talk to, so it isn`t just a waste of CPU power, RAM and storage space to have them installed.

Well I know the live network has problems from time to time. From my experience, more times than not.
for msn, you can just put @hotmail.com behind my nick I use here. send me an email, and I can share my yahoo as well. On the ICQ and AIM. I had one at one time, but I didn't like them enough to keep.
As far as your nick not working.... try seeing if registering works, if it says that nick is taken, see about password reset.

Looking at the people on my yahoo list they are either people I met in chat or people who have posted something here which has caught my attention and I have wanted to discuss it with them. I also have people who I met in yahoo interest groups - but I am not sure what has happened to those now.
