~Not sure if this is the correct forum for this post~

I recently read a story on this site that bored me. The story outline; a husband recreates his marriage within his idea of a Master/slave relationship. It could have been interesting, instead the writer chose to make it little more than a silly diatribe of misogynistic abuse.

Add to this bad grammar et al, and an illogical lack of communication between the husband and wife characters, and well, I left a stern review. So did many other reviewers. Mine was the only one to attract a response. From another woman.

She defended the illogical storyline by stating, "There is no turning back once you agree to be a slave. Something I know from experience.

(The) husband has the right to test (the wife's) obedience in anyway he pleases."

The story was a silly work of fiction. The respondent's personal views on what it is to be a submissive worried me - in terms of her own safety.

Just wanted to get that off my chest.

Maybe that's the fantasy? Fiction is great that way. It doesn't have to make moral sense. I haven't read it though so I'm going to keep from having opinions. A link would be helpful.

Oh, the story was simply a work of fiction, even if set within the commonplace.

Though those opinions resonding to my review were held as personal to her in r/l.

Here's the link.

EDIT: Link deleted. The storyline was simply context.

Well..Cala...

I'm wondering if you are doing a review or debating the person's views on submission with the M/s relationship.

If you're debating the woman's submission with her relationship..I'll leave this here...if you are making a comment on the story generally..then this would need to be moved to the proper forum.

I realize you were getting things off your chest with posting this..but what are you doing within this thread? Review or discussion on submission?

My aim was to muse over my respondent's personal view on submission and it's possible implications. The story itself was the unrelated issue of the title.

I felt I needed context to place the lady's views, the story was outlined for no other reason. Though, if this thread still seems to be in the wrong place, by all means please remove it!

As a discussion on submission...
I have seen those who have different views on what a woman's submissiveness means.
I can understand Cala's concern in the post.
Submission isn't a go-ahead for abusive relationship at any point.
In my mind there is a gray area that is easily slipped over at times if things aren't communicated constantly.
just my added opinion.
