ok, so yesterday I was wearing high heels and they were the type that had a harder heel and make a clicking noise as you walk down hallways, particularly linolium lined ones that echo... anyways, I was thinking about the sound because i realized that it was partially the noise not the hihg heels that made me feel sexy and that some wherein my brain the noise of clicking heels is somethign i find very erotic, whether they are on me or someone else, adn I also connect it with authority and domination, like that of a teacher or a powerful business woman or Domme...
and the more i thought about it there are other noises that turn me on just from hearing them. A switch blade popping open perks my ears adn sends a shiver right through me.
Do you have a similar trigger noise or whatever you want to call it... Is it BDSM related or just sex related, what is it how does it make you feel, where do you think your feelings towards this noise come from? How could/has one incorperate(d) these things into bdsm play?

For me, its the sound of leather stretching or rubbing. Like when you tighten a bodice or leather vest... or zip up those second skin tight leather pants....
Hell, there have been mornings that i have taken my pet when shes getting dressed for the Ren faire just from those sounds... and from watching her...

the sound of an engine reeving......gives me that warm tingly feeling
the sound of heels on concrete or tile do it for me also
certain bands.... Rammstein is the most effective... the german language being growled....gawd yes just take me now!

If you guys are turned on by the sounds of high heels clicking then maybe yall should have worked with my ex boss, she was hot to begin with an she always wore high heels and walked really really fast.

ahh... sound of footsteps approaching slowly...
and interestingly enough, the click of snapping the fingers.
Sometimes the sexiest sound is no sound at all...

The noise of a belt being undone and drawn (with intent...) out of the pant loops... God, that one really does it for me.

Do any of you have any ideas what might have caused these noises to become turnons? is it something that jus tis or is there a memory or something associated?

I think it could be a result of experience or simple associations that we make- like the fact that the belt is such an innocent item yet it is associated a lot of times with punishment when we were going up...or at least we heard about it being used. Thus the brain and body quickly associates the sounds of the belt with punishment and since we get seem to get aroused by the prospect of punishment.... :-P

There are noises that give you a heightened sense of awareness, for example a lighter striking (inevitably for a candle when my Master strikes it) always gets me, even if it is just someone in the pub lighting a cigarette.
All of these things are ten times as effective when used in conjunction with sensory deprivation. The sound of the door to our cellar (our 'dungeon')opening when I am bound and blindfolded down there is something that sends tingles running through me...

I'm with TDS on the drums thing.
The reason is that I FEEL the rythm throughout my body, thus the movement that follows...the slow hypnotic sway of my hips and....
(oops. got a little distracted there)
The other thing would be the sound of chains. The cold steel...the strength...not knowing what he's going to do with them...

how about the sound of a tightly bound and gagged sub as she breathes heavily through her nose and tries to breath or talk around the ball gag.
The click of a padlock, when I know they are going to be used on my cuffs, the soft thud made from from the large bundle of rope falling to the floor that is now being uncoiled for my use, a husky breathe next to my ear, the sound of shuffling in that leather bag- wondering what he'll pull on me next. ^_^
