Have been kicking a idea around in the back of my head about opening a Bdsm hotel ,a small one between 20 to 30 rooms anybody got any ideas about what you would like to see in a place like that

The place would have dungeon, stables, themed bedrooms (medieval, roman)

SOunds like a hell of an idea. . . . but I Would be very careful about where I chose to open this. And if you need a good management consultant to help with the initial setup and planning, I know one who would be really interested in the job. . . oh . . sorry . . . we arent supposed to advertise .. .

ya its a lot to take on laws, money, so on i was thinking if i made it like a Private club for member only and have contract drawn up between the people that stay there it would help with some of the laws

well iam english but living in u.s.a. would love to have it in england but i thnk i have more chance of making it u.s, But I am not to sure on u.s laws and state laws as far as I know and you maybe able to help here Texas and Las Vagas seem to be more easy going on there laws

*raises my hand* i have hotel management experience.... almost 10 years worth... top property of the company during my leadership time.... hint hint... lol.

sounds wonderful... i know there have been assorted bed and breakfasts places with BDSM themes opened throughout the US. I know there used to be one in Virginia but i think it has now closed. There is also one in the Atlanta GA area if i remember correctly...

I have a link for a BDSM travel agency if you would be interested.... maybe check out what they have for B&B's, etc. Just a thought....

From personal experience, I wouldnt count on Texas. Nevada would probably be a good bet, but you have to be careful of the particular area you are in. Nevada has some peculiar local option laws that can be hard to interpret. I would incorporate it in Nevada also. They have some very lenient corporate rules and laws which makes it advantageous.

There used to be such a place In the Uk-it was a bdsm-themed "bed breakfast and dungeon" that I believe was called "Westwood Ho!" in the west country. I have no idea if it is still going.

Well . . Im not as familiar with the laws in the states along he eastern seaboard so I would have to do some research on how different states look at private membership clubs.

to make it more private you would need a good size house on a couple acres of land. If you had more than enough money a mansion would be nice than you can have clenits then your friends also.

That was my thinking enough land that was private to allow outdoor activates
with out scaring the local vanilla population or letting them know what was going on there

Well, a few years back Cosmopolitan [UK] had this cover catch headline: The Kinky Castle - where men are kept in dungeons. Wow! I remember seeing it and thinking: hey, i thought that was a mag with some classy propriety.

I regret not buying it and reading the article.But it could hardly have been an undercover job - no doubt the owners o that Dominatrix Fortress (or whatever) knew they would be appearing in the press.

I know of a couple clubs in the united states that are members only with similar ideas, but I can't remember where they are off the top of my head... something makes me wanna say one of them is in washington or oregan. I had a soc professor who was a specialist in human sexual behavior ad he talked about a few around the country that he had been invited to, but he said most of them were very reclusive and expensive as they cartered to rich and famous, so i don't know how much information you could find about them on line.

Actually, there's one near were we live--in Bullsbrook, Western Australia. It's a big secluded house with a master bedroom, slave quarters, and such, that's able to be rented. Check it, and the pictures of it, out on the net some time.

There are a few BDSM clubs in Atlanta, GA, one of which I know has overnight accommodations. And there are others in the state. There will be a BDSM weekend event in Atlanta in June. Maybe you could get some more information there about opening some type of dungeon establishment? Might be worth the time to check it out anyway. Good luck with your venture. :)

thats gonna take a lot of land. Enough that you can effectively controll access at all points. All it will take is one curious photographer or reporter with enough guts to jump the fence and snap some long distance photos. I would much prefer an indoor facility plain enough to hide in plain sight that allows easy control of access and hides from prying eyes the activities inside

i was thinking of a farm, i was brought up in a rock studio when i was a kid that used to be a farm the old stables had been turned into small apartments the whole complex was in a u shape which would mean only one place of entery and exit

:idea:

Make it a 'time-share' enterprise and the guests become owners... and there will be far fewer concerns about anti-prostitution laws... and any activities would be private ones instead of public ones. The managers and help then become employees of the shareholders instead of 'purveyors' of kink.

Make it easy to buy and sell shares so that no one is really committed... and so that "maintenance costs" are absorbed by the "current owners" of the shares... i.e., the equivelent of a hotel stay.

That being said...

You'll need a chain of such establishments because... well kinksters and chains just go hand and hand.... :rolleyes:

Every room will need plenty of exposed beams with attachment points, block&tackle, hose-reels with plenty of rope...

Also a "mini-bar" of clover clamps, clothespins, needles, candles, crops, canes, floggers and paddles... for starters.

I think a swimming pool or jacuzzi is in order... and an attendent shower room with plenty of hoses and jet nozzles for directed water play... and of course the necessary open ceiling pipes with attachment points, block&tackle, chains, etc. etc. etc.

well a nice farm with about 10 acres and a large house with a decent barn would be nice. The house would need several large bedrooms and a few small one that could be used asslave quaters. With enough land toy could build a few bungalows behind the main house for others whowant privatace>Ihave thought of thismany times my self but never had the money for it.

I wish I could find the link to a wonderful place I found when dreaming of how to spend the Lotto money I have never won. ;)

It was a mountain side hotel in Tenneesse of about 20-30 rooms with all the extra areas, dining room, bar, excersise room, large main balcony, kitchens, etc.

Only one road up the mountain to it so you could see when folks had arrived, or with a gatehouse at the bottom to insure complete privacy. Each room had its own balcony overlooking the valley below. It was a family owned and operated hotel and they were ready to retire.

It was a very choice location in my book and I had the same intent for it as you. Shame I never won that money. Hahahaha.

I will keep looking for the link or information I am sure I have it somewhere.

I did find a beautiful place if you didn't mind living in Idaho. This place has all kind of possibilites but you would probably need your own plane to bring people in on. I doubt many would drive there for the weekend.

Most of the places I was looking for were away from the masses so probably not good for hotel type places. The link to the really great place in New Mexico which was a double ranch (upper and lower) with room for lots of "guests" is still working but they took the photos and information down just leaving a contact number. Oh well.

What I'd like to see in a BDSM Hotel; privacy, big tubs, lots of open space, friendly staffers. Super clean but a place you could relax.

The help would be inconsistent.

If you're thinking in addition to the staff...

would all guests appreciate someone's sub, rather than professional help (who probably know how to make themselves invisible to the guests) to serve them?

Was thinking more about extra help. The jobs around the hotel would be done by staff . But if your where dom and you had a sub partner and wanted to punish them there would be a list of jobs around the hotel for you to choose for your sub .

Example dusting with a mouth gag with a feather duster in it there dom could get to choose what they would ware while they where punished

I find this all fascinating. I've never heard of hotels/B&B's like this...well, I haven't heard of a lot of things. Yours sounds like a classy place.

Staff helpers sounds like a good idea to me.
