In a sudden chill
I shiver. Smiling,
he wraps me in his great arms.
Warmth floods me. He warms
my soul, reaches where
the sun cannot penetrate.
As the moon rises
the dogs bark and howl
to greet her. Still he holds me.
Suddenly he's gone.
Pulled by her chill light
She commands and he listens.
I huddle naked.
My soul wails, "Come back!"
The sun burns me. I shiver.
I shiver. Smiling,
he wraps me in his great arms.
Warmth floods me. He warms
my soul, reaches where
the sun cannot penetrate.
As the moon rises
the dogs bark and howl
to greet her. Still he holds me.
Suddenly he's gone.
Pulled by her chill light
She commands and he listens.
I huddle naked.
My soul wails, "Come back!"
The sun burns me. I shiver.
