I just want to thank the three people, besides myself. who voted for my story. By the way, in any other month I would've voted for rce's story. That was great!

I voted for 2,000 words. However, I believe this should be more of a guideline than a rule. I would not like for stories to be disqualified unless they are way too long. An upper limit is good, because it makes it easier to get through all of the contest entries, but a rule on the length which is policed too hard can hamper the inspiration of any writer.

No one is counting words that obsessevly believe me. I thought the upper limit was better though due to other feedback as well. It is a guideline but I had no intention of disqualifying anyone if they were over. :)
