I'm posting this in the knowledge base because I want to hear responses from as many people across a wide spectrum of interests and points of view.

Have you used or been subject to hypnosis as part of a BDSM training regimen?

I raise this question because I have recently started my submissive on a series of hypnotraining MP3 files. THis piqued my curiousity to know if anyone else has made use of this form of training and, if so, what were the results, problems, methods, etc.

I would also like to hear about any resources anyone else has found for this type of training.

Thanks for all your input

Yes, I love it and think it is wonderful, but that is with it used as part of the 'toy box', not as a training tool; - it is also in the hands of someone I know and trust completely, and who has been clinically trained.

As I understand there are all sorts of significant issues about caring for the subject whilst they are in the trance, and about bringing them out of it.

I use Hypnosis very little not in training at all. Too me not good to use for training. Because if your sub/slave won't do it awake they generally won't do it under Hypnosis. I like to use it after a session to help her to feel better and get over a hard session of bdsm to relax her and help her feel better.

I only had it used once on me as a training tool. It was to help me overcome a particular barrier, and we agreed whilst I was fully awake exactly what would happen, and before he brought me round he ensured that I would have a full memory of it, so that I could carry it forward.

ok .. good information. How about using it to reinforce behaviors that are already in place. Any thoughts on that?

Thinking about that one - not quite sure what you are thinking of.

If the behaviour is already in place, then I guess enjoying that behaviour whilst relaxed would reinforce it, but there is a significant risk that she will not remember any of what has happened, which would rather reduce the efficaciousness. Better to find clever ways to help her enjoy it with her fully aware.

Hypnosis does not get a sub to do something she would not want to do, but it can give her a reason to do something she might not want to.

As for reinforcing a wanted trait, it can be useful for that, in fact this is much easier than getting rid of an unwanted one.

I use a non-traditional method of hypnosis in play and training. I take her mentally to a special place in sub space where she release more control of herself to me. As far as getting her to do something she wouldn't normally do there are ways around that if your that level of dishonorable.

I forgot to mention in my last post, though I am sure that you are aware of this, that there are dangers involved in hypnosis, just like anyhting else. I made some bad mistakes the first few times I used it.
