Three of my more erotic drawings. Working on a fourth one that I think has some nice potential.

The girl crying in the shower is my favorite of the three. It was a drawing I did when I was feeling helpless in a relationship.

Spirit, where the girl is tied up, I was trying to shade hair instead of using the more anime-esque cell shading approach and it definitely needed some work. Also, her breasts should have been spread apart due to how her back would curve (since I invisioned her wrists up to her forearms bound in rope).

The final one was drawn really fast and the shading was rushed. I figured I would share it regardless.

Your thoughts and feedback are appreciated. Feel free to point out anything that might be wrong cause I always want to improve.

All very nice, thank you for sharing! Personally I like the first one best -- "spirit"? -- entirely because of the eyes. They look very naughty sub, entirely delicious. I hope you share more!

As I am looking at these pictures and your comments about your own drawings and I think you are being too hard on yourself. These are really very good. I do hope to see more of your work.

Enjoy

These drawings are excellent. I can see where the second was rushed, but the talent is still there.

I will not comment on the shading against the Anime style as I personally hate, but I do think you did a good job. As for the breasts, perhaps the halter is constricting them?

The girl in the shower is definately my favorite also, makes me want to know why she is crying.

One thing that I did not mention in my initial posting is that I am partially colorblind, thus these and most of my works are black and white. Any coloring I do is based on the computer and abuses the hexadecimal number system.

ElectricBadger, I love drawing eyes and I was definitely trying to convey her "spirit" through her eyes and her lips.

Talia, thank you. I try to isolate the flaws in any of my art (and anything else I do) so that I may improve and do better in the future. I am glad you like them.

Rhabbi, as far as trying the detailed shading in conjunction with the anime style, I am trying to settle into a unique style of art. Do you have any suggestions on how you think I could better blend the two together? What is it about the two that you are less than fond about?

I think I mis-spoke. I dislike the Anime style because I do noy like the exaggeration that is a part of the style. I actually prefer a more realistic approach to art, and when I occasionally sit down and draw I like to make things as realistic as possible.

When shading I actually imagine the light as a point sourece, and try to define the various delicacies involved. I have almost have an engineering eye when I draw, so things tend to be very precise.

The only thing I can suggest is to try different things that you like until you see something that works just the way you want. Your drawings are good, and they are worth looking at.

By the way, do not worry about coloring. B&W has more impact anyway. And just color the way you see things, after all, it is art. lol

Ahh thank you for the clarification Rhabbi.

As a trend, I do find myself approaching realism more and more as I go along. I remember in the beginning, drawing anime was hard though because it was such a minimalistic style. Changing the reflections in the eyes, the curve of the lips, the angle of the eyebrows could easily change the mood of the character. Getting all of that and the body language to line up with a limited amount of detail was half the fun.

Since I started shading in detail more and more, I have been trying to use consider the effects of lighter and darker spots as affected by a specific light source but it has been difficult.

Study B&W photography. It shows the contrast better and helps you see where the shading needs to go.

Doh, that makes so much more sense than just guessing at it.
