I am a Dom who is just starting out. I am a lesbian and my last girlfriend introduced me to the Dom/sub relationship. She was a very good teacher (I believe that subs can teach Doms just as well as Doms teach subs) but we broke up a month ago and I am looking for ways to improve and to learn more about BDSM as we only began to explor my Dom side three months ago. So if anyone would like to talk I would enjoy speaking with you and Dom, sub or switch I am willing to listen to any advice you have.

Hello Irene, and thank you for your introduction. It is always nice to know a little bit about the people behind the names.

You have come to a great place to extend your journey, there is lots of information here, and lots of fun to be had whilst you learning. Have a good meander through the threads, and if you can't find what you want to know, just ask! You have already started one post here - and it is as simple as that to do it anywhere else in forums. And if you go wrong, there is always a mod around to help you out. They are people with bold blue names.

Hello and Welcome Irene.

I like the name you chose for your alias and I hope i am not embarrasing myself if it is your real name. So, are you a Doyle fan or a Douglas fan?

I am most definetly a Doyle fan. Irene Adler is my favorite female charactor in all of Brittish Literature and quite possibly literature in general. The only person to out smart Sherlock Holmes was a Jewish Woman From New Jersey...I love that. And she was cheeky about it too.:D

Definately was, perhaps the only man that could ever outsmart a man like Holmes would be a woman.

Douglas, as well as others, were also entranced by her character, and I think she did the best treatment of anyone in continuing the story and filling it out from her point of view, although I would not argue with anyone who said that Nicole Wallace was the single best representation of her in fiction. After all, Goren is a modern Holmes.
