the cool air alive with excitement
tonight unlike all others before
her hands trembling with anticipation
as she awaits His soft knock on the door
upon hearing it she answers quickly
moonlight shining on her bare ivory skin
before Him she kneels as He enters
life together tonight shall begin
“Come my love” He softly whispers
taking her hand, lifting her to her feet
she rises and follows behind Him
her submission to Him almost complete
into her eyes He gazes deeply
His hands softly cradling her face
convinced that she is now ready
He pulls her into His embrace
a nod and she again kneels before Him
the cool steel encircles her neck
He declares to the world she is His
with one resounding metallic click
with their new life open before them
tears of joy cascade to the floor
He gathers her into His arms
and she whispers to Him
“Master, I’m yours”
