WarMaster's Blog, and window into my world and Household

In this case, a bigger house.
This morning, our 7th and FINAL Human member joined our family under some unusual and frightening circumstances that I will adress shortly.
Achilles (8 month old shepherd-husky mix) joined us this afternoo after his people lost their home due to foreclosure.
AND, this spring, we will be adopting the baby Lynx we've been wanting for 3 years.

Tiffany is the former slave of a friend of a friend. That individual forgot a basic rule of this Lifestyle, and indeed Common Sense: What befalls the Master, befalls the slave.
Gambling debts, owed to some very unpleasant people, then in a move of pure stupidity (and I suspect an attempt to be 'cool') that person decided to go into drugs--and started using off his own sales supply.
Between my friend and I, (Who took this on while caring for his mother as she fights bone cancer) we managed to get Tiffany out and away from that train-wreck before his credittors decided to take things out on her.
This is what's been occupying much of my time the last while--working to save this young woman's life and get her the hell out of the line of fire.

So, I'm pretty sriously angry with her former 'master' for endangering her life and complicating my friend's life (who has enough to grapple with) by his own stupidity, and I have NO interest in helping him, nor does my friend. That idiot made his fate, and even after following my friend's advice and help on getting refinancing on his home and using that money to pay off the 'credittors'...instead of doing that, he took that $75,000.00 he got from refinancing and walked right into a casino, and lost it all.
Some folks are just determined to find Hell, and no one can help them.

However, my friend's mother is improving, and he's washed his hands of the situation aside from being very relieved that Tiffany is safe, and called to check on her.

Tiffany...I have to say that she's a resilient type, and coped with all this mess quite ably. The Kittyz introduced themselves to her, and she passed all 'Cat Scans'.
She's clean, disease-free, and quite a nice person. The rest of my household knew about this whole mess, and have made her feel Welcome and have been helping her settle in...not that hard with only 2 suitcases.

Once upon a time, this house was home only to myself and a 'weird-looking' kitten I found and rescued, and spent 10 days motherhenning, syringe-feeding, worrying over...Georgina, my Best 'Grrrrl'.
I guess I established a pattern then without knowing it.

I have no regrets. I saved a beautiful young woman from a horrible situation not of her doing, and that's what matters. A life was spared.
If I'd said 'No', I wouldn't have been able to meet the eyes of any in my home, nor myself in the mirror, nor would I be able to still truly call myself Pagan, and I would be a mark against my ancestors, parents and Those Above.
If I'd said 'No', I'd have rightfully condemned myself alongside Tiffany. Sometimes in saving another, we also save ourselves.
Fair enough.

It's a far cry from what I envisioned some years back. BUT, the girls are safe and happy, as are Cats and Dog, and it Feels like Family.
BDSM blends into the weave of things better than I ever dared hope.

My life hasn't always been so good, the 'Lost Years' overseas were one long, continual nightmare of blood, death and war--and that memory reminds me always what I have now and how precious it all is.

Be it ever so chaotic, there's no place like home.
