One i wrote a while ago

Meaningless daybreaks offering long cold days.
Endless lonely thoughts filling sleepless nights.
Heavy rain filled clouds in a dark sky.
Icey winds howling through the corridors of my mind.

Going throught the motions of just another day.
Aimless, with little interest in what should be my joy.
Waiting for something, someone to revive my soul.
Searching for a glimmer of hope to reveal what was once me.

Longing for the salty sting of tears,
to become the warm waters i remember well.
For the empty blank staring eyes.
to show the lost twinkling beams of light.

Pleading with myself to be strong,
making myself believe my day will come.
When the blackness opens up to azure blue skies and warm sun.
When laughter and love are with me as they once were.

Very nice, sadness tinged with hope, just like life.
