Blackwater

So the company of Blackwater has been in the news of late.... A rather ugly exposure of our "building a democracy" endeavors.

Hiring private contractors and giving them carte blanche to "defend" someone else can only lead to problems. I have heard so many stories about this that I do not believe that anyone would try to defend this practice, and it even made it into a TV series that CBS canceled last year. Though it is still my hope that it will be back.

Private "armies" for hire is never good.

There was a very mumbled reference in the first episode of the cheesy new tv series K Ville, but the character said Blackriver...that's all I feel comfortable to say regarding this subject.
