This is where I first read it from and couldn't help but read the comments. Some I laughed at, some I wholeheartedly second (guess which).
But hey "Mr Graves alleged: "He shoved me off the bus. He called us freaks and he called Tasha a dog." I have to admit that in this context if i were the sub i'd like being called a dog. but then again i'm strange, lol.

The only problem I see with this is that it allows some very petty official, bus driver to takes steps to refuse service to a life styler. I personally think they got the attention that they wanted and not really sure that nillas find ways to deal with this kind of displays. But then this is similar to the gays being forced to hide themselves to protect the straights.
Well what can I say. Power to them for living the lifestyle to its fullest. Shame on the busdriver even though I can understand that some people might be freaked out but still that doesnt allow him to treat her like that.
To be perfectly honest, I'm surprised anyone really cared. The depth of the play might squick some people, but if she wasn't pissing on a streetlight, I don't think most people would take time out from their own lives to actually be offended by something so innocuous.

I am all for alternative life, and the individual freedom of anyone to choose what he/she likes and lead the life one choses to live if it hurts no one and it makes that one happy.
I myself wish to know myself and lead my own life my way. but i just cannot understand this girl.I am also nineteen.
what could have been done to her or happened with her in these nineteen years that she feels that she has to belong to and be totally dependent on her "owner". how can one create this type of personality oddity? Can anyone explain this to me or have a theory?

LONDON -- A British bus company has apologized to a girl who is led around on a leash by her boyfriend and describes herself as a human pet after one of its drivers threw her off a bus.
Tasha Maltby, 19, told British newspapers she was the "pet" of her 25-year-old fiance Dani Graves.
Pictures showed her dressed in black Gothic-style clothing with silver buckles on a silver chain -- which the driver of a bus from the firm Arriva took exception to.
She told the Daily Mail newspaper Wednesday she was thrown off and told: "We don't let freaks and dogs like you on."
Arriva would not comment on specifics but said it apologized if the couple felt they had been discriminated against. It added, however, that the driver was worried about safety and the company told Maltby to take the leash off in the future.
"We have spoken to the driver who has talked about health and safety," a spokesman said. "Should she be attached to a chain and something happens on the bus, that could be dangerous. All we are saying is that she is very welcome to use the buses but not when she is on her lead."
Maltby -- who lives on state benefits and got engaged in November -- said her choice of lifestyle might seem unusual but was harmless.
"I am a pet," she told the Daily Mail. "I generally act animal-like and I lead a really easy life. I don't cook or clean and I don't go anywhere without Dani. It might seem strange but it makes us both happy. It's my culture and my choice. It isn't hurting anyone."

I reckon the key is in her age. She's a teenager (and a Goth) and just wants to shock people. Looks like she achieved her aim :d
It seems strange to many I suppose but it sure is not shocking in this arena.
i wouldn't necessarily discount her age, some young gurls are far more advanced than anyone gives them credit for
'pet' submissives are not uncommon, nor totally out there any more than anyone on these boards who likes their bottom whipped or to whip said bottom
she may grow out of it, or she may very well just be happy, simply - who is anyone to judge this as unusual and especially anyone from these boards?
i think it was wrong to kick her off the bus and it had nothing to do with safety and everything to do with the bus driver not liking and judging what he saw as not 'socially normal' - we all fight against that everyday to be us and it's sad - i'm highly impressed that she stood her ground and defended herself, whether it was for her 'goth shocking' or just her belief

a PO stopped Icehawk and me once because i was being awkward *g* and wouldnt hold his hand so he grabbed me by my wrist shackles and led me down the street with me stomping my feet!

This story was bought up a lil while ago and the bus company did appologise to the couple. the driver of that bus was more concerned about her leash causing problems if there were to have been an accident more than anything.
The story did hit our national papers and a lot of people actually sided with the couple in question.
One of our papers actually spent the day with the couple seeing how they lived.. asking friends and neighbours how they felt about the couples activities and they all stated that it was their business and not theirs and that they had got so used to seeing them they way they are that it was just a part of life seeing them about town.

and sure the company apologized, but likely only because they HAD to to avoid a law suit - it doesn't diminish the fact that people would be so hurtful to others that they have no clue about

ive only heard the 'freaks and dogs' version myself...anyway dogs are allowed on buses in the uk as long as their fare is paid and they stay on the leash so i
i dont believe the safety excuse for one minute,its a bit illogical really.
the only thing causing safety issues on buses are the bloody drivers...have you ever been on a UK bus?? sheeesh :eek:
