Repeating notification to a PM

I just wanted to let you know I got the same pm notification 9 times last night.

hi, i'm a newbie...what's a pm notification?

when you get a Private Message sent to you you also get a pop up that tells there is a PM waiting for you.

The PM notification I was talking about is an email I get everytime someone Private messages me.
