where to stop

do you ever wonder to yourself where and when you'll want to stop and does it ever worry you? and do you get frustrated if there is nowhere left to go?

over time like most people the things i like and didnt like have changed but im a bit of a thrill seeker too and when we try something new i and luckily Icehawk always want to take it that bit further until its too extreme dangerous and sometimes physically impossible to actually put into practice.

for eg i always was petrified of needles but as with everything i started wanting to try it until it changed from a want to a sort of need so we started with one or two just on my breast then that gradually built up to more and on various parts of my body then came not just the piercing with them but playing while there in needles dont generally produce much bleeding but somehow we've built it up enough to draw quite a bit of blood,now we want to try suturing/stitching...ok not too extreme.

then theres fish hooks which we've built up over time,nasty little things they are lol but addictive too,now we're really looking to try hook suspension ...bit of a leap there lol

but then what? theres not really much further you can take that or at least not to my limited knowledge.
it doesnt worry me that i always want to go to the extreme and beyond if it were possible,but what it does do is make me wonder what we'll do when all avenues have been exhausted.
thats not to say we're not satisfied and we'll always love playing the games we play and theres no end to the imagination and new games,but there will always be that final end to anything we may do and its very frustrating.

a long winded post and im not sure im making any sense to you, but im curious as to whether any of you do and feel the same.

I've never had those cravings Icey but I can understand what you are saying. Though I can't get it into my head why you would want to be suspended by hooks I would still be happy for you if you achieved that desire. I seem to remember seeing some pictures one time at a site *wink* and wondering how anyone could do that. Luckily you are very tiny and hopefully your skin is tough, plus I know you have a caring Master that will be watching you closely.

Interesting problem. I am Dom I am the one that has to come up with new and different things not the one experiencing new sensations.

those pictures were beautiful WB i dont know why you didnt like them ;) lol(but along with all the others we had there lost on Icehawks dead pc he has 4 harddrives worth but there too powerful for regular pcs and its going to cost us an arm and a leg to get his fixed)

Icehawk will watch me very very carefully we always play alone but thats not in our opinion a possibility with hook suspension, i havnt got tough skin though i bruise if i so much as look at a paddle lol

like yourself Sir_Russel (going by your posts) Icehawk has a lot of imagination and is very good not only at envisioning scenes and planning them out well but improvising with all manner of objects which is why im so lucky to do the things we do.

but unfortunately while i can never say im not satisfied in fact im a very lucky girl :) things do have to come to a stop somewhere and thats what frustrates me so much, its very hard to explain really.

So what's the meaning of life? To maximize pleasure or to prolong life by a healthy lifestyle?

It's up to you. But if you ask me. If I have a chance to experience the ultimate sensation of joy ever possible to experience, but at the price that it kills me, I'd probably take the deal. I just doubt a state like that exists. Good luck all the same :)

I understand where you are coming from, icey. I love tattoos (though, alas, I only have one at the moment), so I love looking through the tattoo magazines. And one trend that I've noticed (though I'm sure it was an old trend by the time I noticed it) was where women have their backs pierced with hooks and then laced up to look like they are wearing corsets in the back. For some reason, that look just really appeals to me. Maybe it has something to do with the fact that Luis Royo is my favorite artiist and he has really been getting into the piercings and implantations of silver and jewels in his paintings more often, so I've gotten used to see elaborate syle piercings.

Now whether or not I'd actually have the guts to go along with such a thing on myself is another question (Goddess knows I have enough skin on my back to do that!). But where you keep such a thing as that (and your being suspended by hooks) as a fantasy/an idea and actually doing it are two different things. For me, it'll probably just remain something that I enjoy looking at and admiring, but never actually do to myself.

Although hook suspension is not something that at all interests me (yet hehe), I don't think this was the main focus of your question icey but to say what happens when you've 'edged out' on all the play that does interest you - is there such a thing as topping out and dead-ending on fantasies in play?? - I do think it can likely happen and more so if you've been playing a long time together. I guess it's all in the imagination and varying the kind of play you enjoy maybe?

Being relatively green in any sort of 'play' my possibilities are at a max hehe but I do have a similar worry in that I've imagined and fantasized so long about a few different things that it turned out to be relatively boring and not near enough when the act was done *pouts*. Of course this is due to a couple things like not having enough time when playing and not having the required (for me) commitment and heart in it I think. But what do you do when enough is not nearly enough? Seems I'm a greedy gurl who doesn't 'play' as a rule and won't until I find One who is strong enough (maybe that is in itself my problem) but what if what I need is too much and I exhaust all those grand possibilities ahead before I even get out of the gate? lol

That's something I used to worry about- the never ending search for 'more.'

All I know is I got to a point where I felt satisfied with what I had, & was quite happy to 'back off' a bit. :eek:

There's other things in life than looking for 'more' they'll come along when you're good & ready.

BTW icey- there's no need to put that disclaimer on your posts, saying you're probably not making sense or whatever- I can assure you, you've been making sense for years.

I don't think this is a problem as long as you are leading a well rounded and fulfilling life. If the ONLY thing you get enjoyment out of is BDSM play, then maybe you do keep searching for more. But life happens.

Master and slave defines our relationship, and is who we are at the core. But at the same time we have busy lives and have share a lot of other activities and interests outside of the bedroom. There are times that you are excited just to be able to find time to have sex, and are not so worried about doing something "new".

I would compare it to roller coaster enthusiasts, as they are in it for the adrenaline rush, just like a lot of S&M players are. Sure, when a fresh new roller coaster comes out it is super exciting and they all travel accross the country to ride it... but it is not like new ones come out every week. It is still a lot of fun to go on rides that you have been on before.

id really have to sit and think about that one PRO DOM, if you're referring to play then there are some i havnt and wont do, any form of scat being one of them it doesnt appeal to me and never will,or beastiality however that as far as im concerned doesnt come under bdsm but simply is a handy and 'legitimate' term for people to use because they know deep down its wrong although thats perhaps another thread and no doubt ive really offended some people ...nothing new there lol

Warning: I'm going to state my opinion here...and it's a bit harsh.

The statement above makes me sad and a little angry. If you're well enough for the kind of play you and Icehawk do, then you're well enough to have a more well-rounded life. Get out of the house and do something, woman! Whether it's exercise or volunteer work or just going to a movie once a week...do something to bring more balance into your life. You're seeing for yourself the results of having a life that's practically one-dimensional...pushing that one dimension as far as possible. It's easy to get extreme in some aspect of life when we're bored...so get un-bored.

yes im ok to play,its not the boredom side anyway i prefer being with just my family thats how im happiest, what makes me kind of sad or reflective i guess is the fact that i am that way if that makes any sense at all.

funnily enough though i had thought about volunteering,to work with an animals rescue type place,i just need to get the confidence and look into it,excersise is a no-go area for me i have a bit of an addictive personality and last time i did that i became obsessed lol ...aaargh this is coming out all wrong,i sound like im whinging or something and im not,think i better shut up now!

I am much the same way in that I truly do like just being at home with my daughter, we don't have to be go, go, go all day everyday and in fact, when we are in that position, I truly hate it - I'm a casual, slow kind of person and more so in the winter where I tend to just hibernate and putter around the house. In the summer we do get out a lot more with camping and things like that but life doesn't have to always be moving ahead at top speed - what works for you and makes you happy is all that matters.

I find myself defending my want to just 'hang' at home to lots of people who say I should be doing this, or doing that - blah - why? I work three jobs (one fulltime and a couple part-time) and spend time with friends here and there and that's more than enough for me. When I'm home, I don't sit and mope, I relax and enjoy it completely ;)

If you aren't working icey hun, you may really enjoy a couple hours a week volunteering with animals if that's a passion for you, it may help release some energy that seems to be niggling at you :)
