Hello All,
As I'm very new to the scene, I'm hoping some of the more experienced subs can help. I though about going to a fetish party this evening. The invite said the dress code was " dress to impress, fetish wear, goth, or all black". I am nothing if not a well dress woman, but could not find anything in my closet I thought would be appropriate. I don't have the courage to only wear a corset with garters and I think a little black dress would be too much. Please advise. Thanks

Agreed. Also, a lot of people arrive to fetish parties more or less in street clothes and then change there. No reason not to wear a simple all black outfit, little black dress or not, and then change into corset and garters if you feel like it. You'd be amazed at how being surrounded by nudity and fetish wear seems to lessens one's sartorial inhibitions.
I diffentely vote for classy over sleazy.
You could also be goth and classy, and you can always change into some fetishware later if your expected to participate in a demo or anything.
I always end up going to parties in stret clothes with a bag of stuff I 'might' wear then when everyone starts coming out in latex, silk and leather, I change. you'll feel left out when you're the only one in jeans and a t-shirt lol.
I agree with denu, if you are unsure, go for classy over trashy, every kink community has their own 'thing' when it comes to how ppl like to dress at play parties, so bring some stuff and take your cues from what everyone else starts changing into later in the evening.
I go for a 'dolly' look with a knee length skirt & petti sometimes or a corset with a miniskirt etc. it's all about how you feel that evening too lol.

Flying66, I thought about wearing a short black dress with a great belt (it's 3" wide, black leather with chains, hot!) and possibly garters peaking out with platform booties. Your thoughts?
I have friends going to their first party and the girl asked me the same question.
I also suggested the simple black dress (thanx jeanne,) heels of course (I love what heels do for nice legs and asses.)
I also suggested she could wear a corset under the dress, with no need to show it unless moved to do herself. What you wear under will change how you feel on the outside too. And feeling a bit naughty helps release the nerves of being at that first party.
