Newbie
I am wondering how submissives who do not have Dommes expand and explore their own submission. I am having trouble with this i guess because i am so new to the community and lifestyle if anyone has any tips or anything i would very much appreciate it.

Go to a munch, meet people. Find others to talk to, subs and dominants. Network, eventually meet your match.
Find a mentor, either sub or dominant. Each can help you from different perspectives.
There are books, even a "workbook" for submissives (someone will remember and mention its name now that I've mentioned it.)
There's also a Tasking forum here that you can join.

A "mundane" meeting of people who are in the scene. As I understand, they meet at a coffeehouse or such, just to talk and meet new people. You do NOT dress up for this-you want to stay under the Muggle radar. I have not been to one yet, combo of time, courage and knowledge issues-but I have heard good things from people who have gone.
Stay with us on the Library-I have learned a lot since I joined, even if I didn't get to practice much of it, yet. Good Luck!

One can also find a public access "dungeon" or bdsm club in or near almost every major city in the USA.
PS: Sorry about not finding the workbook Oz....the only thing like it was some questionable online thingy.

Here is one of the best places to learn-or at least to get started. I've been here about a year, and learned a lot.
