slaveboy is certainly right, F&G is a low pressure place to start making relationships. One possibility: go beyond the minimal required answer in order to give folks a glimpse at who you are and, perhaps, to draw them into conversation. The minimal answer might be "Minot, North Dakota." The other answer might be: "Minot, N.D. I once spent an evening there, wondering how I'd managed to handcuff myself to the stupid chair. I really enjoyed room service the next morning, though."
