submitting 1st story - need some technical help with MS-WORD
Question#1
-----------
I'm about to submit my first story and I have such a dumb-ass problem with MS-Word that it's a bit embarrassing to ask about it. I'm running MS-Word 2000 running on WinXP. I can't exactly go ask my conservative neighbors for help with this.
I intially used to delineate my chapters by running "====" across the page to get a long bold line. Well WORD sometimes would do me a favor (I guess) and turn these into solid lines. After a while WORD would insert these on its own after a variable number of lines on a page. What the ...? It made no sense.
Worse, there appears to be no way to delete them. I can go to options and display the paragraph and tab symbols, but no symbols show up indicating what the extra bold lines are. And like I said, no way to delete them either.
So, if someone knows what's going on, please HELP!!!
I can send the file if you're willing to look at it.
I could use someone to review/edit my story anyway, if anyone's interested. I've looked at it a hundred times and it's a blur to me at this point. It's a fairly light piece, with some f/f content (my favorite!).

Question #2
------------
I have split the story into 6 chapters. Do I send 6 separates files, or does the person receiving stories do the work of splitting the file?
Thanks,

Tip – if You did not know to highlight whole document move cursor to far left until it turns into arrow pointing up-right, than Control+left click.
redEva,
Hi, once again. Just tried your tip to highlight the entire document. Thanks. I've tried to do that more than once. It's especially useful when you want to change the size or type of font throughout the document.
I just noticed that everyone's Gender/BDSM role shows up when they post (I'm pretty inexperienced in this forum), and also that most everyone that had answered this post had qualified theirs to some extent so I went back and lightened mine up a little as well. You will certainly see what a lightweight I am when/if you read about Katrina - and no, she's no Schwarzenegger. Unfortunately we've got more than enough of him in California. Katrina's a real femme, just a sweet lovely woman, who finds herself in the middle of one adventure after another.
So back to BDSM roles: being somewhat new and naive about all this stuff, I wondered what your "alpha female" meant, so I googled it. Result -- a totally sexy photo of Dolly Parton with mouth open in a delightful over-the-top expression of joy, bending over showing lots of cleavage and holding a guitar. This may sound sexists, but damn(!!!), that's a compelling combination. The guitar alone would have done it for me (well, with a woman holding it, that is). So, if that's what alpha female means, then please hop on a plane ... it's spring time in California.
I've never been a fan of Dolly, but one of her musical collaborators, Emmylou Harrison, ohmygod!, the pure sweet voice of an angel. I saw her in San Francisco a couple of years ago.
For the Dolly photo, check out the link:

You might get a kick out of it. The alpha female article is interesting.
