Dark ages, dark thoughts

If this is to your taste, please jump right in, take it as far as you like... (sorry my spelling is sh*t)

Dahara moved along the dank stone corridor, trying her best to move at a good pace ahead of the man behind. She stumbled on the uneven cobbled floor, struggling to see her footing in the flickering torch light. Apart from the light sound of her bare cold feet and the clunk of soldier's boots behind she could hear nothing. That frightened her as she realised that they must be deep in the stone keep. She knew what that meant, knew that there were only dungeons below.

A sob escaped her lips, she had failed. Dahara was a spie sent to asses the defenses of the huge castle and report on the forces massed with in. She was a good spie able to hide her intent behind the guise of a prostitute. But somehow they had know and she was arrested. Dahara had remained resolutly silent even though she knew what would come next.

They came to the end of the corridor and stopped in front of a thick oak door studded with huge steel nails. Her heart thudded in her chest as the soldier behind thumped once on the door.
