Along the line of angels thread - whats a guy to do when he gets bored? One of my kinks is obviously crucifixion and and I was bored and by myself which presented it own challenges (think I need to make an appointment with my chiropracter) and these photos are the result.

Angel I'm glad you were touched/fascinated. It's strange how images can do that to you. The marks were created by a single tail leather braided whip that I picked up for 30 bucks Au in Sydney when I was over there. Whilst the marks look fearsome they fade quickly. The beauty of that whip is you can apply it nice and hard and the pain is just soooo good with out being over the top especially when it hits the nipples.
The sensation of hanging elevated from the ground on the cross is quite trippy as well and puts me in spaces that are quite cosmic. I imagine people into suspension bondage experience similar feelings and I guess crucifixion is another form of suspension.

I built something like this, but I didnt have the ability to make it tall enough to suspend from the ground. here is an included photo.
They do this sort of stuff in the Philippines at Easter, the nailed (or rigidly tied guys are carried around in big Golgotha-style processions. I've seen it on the BBC.

Rosanna, you could call it a foot rest, Its angled at about 45 degrees and is slippery. It does give some support but not alot which adds to the struggle and makes your legs work and that's what its all about.

Thank you Rosanna. I had orriginally designed the cross to be free standing, but due to the internal make up of the wood. I had to attatch it to a beam in my dungeon (attic) to provide stability. I found the area of the ribs that the arms normally covers is quite sensitive to most any flogger/crop/whip.

Now why should anyone be offended? People were being crucified long before Christ's time, and the cross certainly isn't an exclusive Christian symbol. Interestingly, I read some where that the cross was originally designed to represent a penis, therefore not just torturing and killing, but also humiliate the hapless victim.
Digressing, I often wonder how different Christian symbols would be if, for instance, Christ had been hanged rather than crucified.
