Phantom of Her Dreams
Phantom of Her Dreams
Prim and proper, hair of copper
Winding through another day
Eyes of sea blue, open to few
Such an image you portray
Such a lady, nothing shady
Near Victorian it seems
But then at night, beyond their sight
Comes the phantom of her dreams
Quite improper, hair of copper
Pulled back as you moan his name
Eyes that beg him, "I’m for Your whim"
Secretly she loves this shame
None would suspect, she of respect
In the dark lets out such screams
Such a good whore, she begs for more
From the phantom of her dreams
Less of a lady, or more?
This whore the phantom will adore
No need for pretense, or masks
As she performs the phantom’s tasks
And in morning, just a warning
Expect no trace of what was
Wear the old mask, another task
This is what she always does
Whore in the night, but by sunlight
Leave no trace of her extremes
Her secret deed, her burning need
For the Phantom of her dreams

Thanks very much TDS, I'm glad you've enjoyed it so much. A bit more sturctured than some of what I've done in the past, and I must say I am rather pleased with the rythym it creates.

I think you did well . . . .

I love what it portrays, the words are very powerful! The rhyme scheme is also wonderful (though slightly choppy in a couple spots..I might have read it wrong)
Very very good work! I wish I could write like this...:)
