Server Issues, Etc

Something really must be jacked up! I never really miss my lil people in my PM box until I can't get to them. LOL

Not sure what is happening. I'd really like to add rosebud, as she did ask. Everytime I try I get an error page. Same for other notifications.

Yes, it's the same for all the members. So even if you could add rosebud as a friend she wouldn't know you did.
But i guess It will be back. Eventually.

Ok, for all of you people who haven't been through a server/site downer like this before...

We are actively working to fix the problem. While it's still "broken," many of the features of the forums & the site will not work!!! So please stop posting that caertain things don't work-- we know, we're monitoring the issue and trying to get it resolved. Once it is, we will SURELY post that we think it's back up & then y'all can let us know what *isn't* working at that time...

Till then, there will be many things (PMs, adding friends, etc.) that just aren't working.

Ya know....there are times when i think a good kick in the side of the servers will do the trick....*looks at the room full terminals, switches and servers*....LMAO!

Does anyone know how to get to the old main page from within the site? When you click on the large font BDSM LIBRARY (red or white letters at top left of each page) it takes you to a page that was orange when the site was still down and is now red. Then, you have to click "enter here" to get to the old main page that had so much info on it. I'm lazy. I want to be able to go directly to it and by-pass the red page from anywhere within the site.

Does anyone have any opinois on the FRee AVG or Free ADVAST Anti Virus Protection, or which they feel is the Best Free For Home Use Program, I have McAfee avaialbe for free from my ISP buti have been warned to stay clear of it

Any help or suggestions are appriciated

I've been using the free AVG for a while now, and it's worked fine as far as I can tell.

It's much less cumbersome than the Norton Antivirus I had before.

my choices seen to be between AVG, Avast & AVira i do know on AVAST you have to run scans yourself it does not have the avilvity to automaclty scan your system it has to bestarted manue when you want to do it

I don't know about the other software you're thinking of, but AVG will run auto scans for virus, spyware, etc.

I was told it's a good idea to runa separate firewall and I go ahead and run windows defender too. With Windows stellar record on security issues, I'm not sure what it's worth. lol

Ok i have 2 firwalls I have Uverse with AT&T which has a bulit in firwall as well and my windws xp firewall

As far as I know, that should cover you.

This config was suggested to me by somebody who knows much more about it than I do and it's working fine.

I teach and assess IT Technicians, as well as buliding and repairing computers, and I always install 'Avast' in preference to Norton or McAfee. They cost money and you have to buy updates every few years.

AVG or Avast are better options - and they're free!

Ok i installed AVG the issue i had/have with AVAST i was told to do a complete system scan you have to set it manualy you can't schedule it to do it at a paritcular time which i can do with AVG, my guess is they are 6 on 1 12 dozen of the other, PLEASE correct me withi am wrong

I've been using AVG for about a year now and have had no problems with it. It updates automatically, can run scheduled scans, and handles emails with no trouble. I keep the Windows Firewall turned on, but I also use the Spybot S&D Resident/ Tea Timer, which can protect your registry from unwanted changes. I seldom have the need to access risky sites, but the couple of times I have the AVG has stopped any attacks.

For the past few days when I go on the Library and click the Main Page words the main page doesn't show up any more, I have to click on the Forums word to get onto the site...can anyone tell me what's going on? Is this a permanent thing?

Erm...actually, I've never had any problems accessing any parts of the site or being logged out - except for when the site has been down for maintenance :)

Ok, folks,

99% of site all areas back up and functioning just fine.
The "Main Page" is still set-up with old 'red" page, if your entering via www.bdsmlibrary.com
It Now has a link on the 'Red" page to "Enter BDSM Library" which takes you to Main Page.

I am still having a problem with log-in. I cannot access my account by just logging in. i now have to "log-in" and get the message you are not registered here Then i click on one of the options, such as forums, and it shows me logged-in.. Please help..

How do you add an avatar?

go to userCP...you will find it in the tool bar at the top ....

when you get there...to the left side toolbar..look for edit avatar...you may up load one of you own or down load one from the menu...

your avatar must be no bigger then 150x150

Since a couple of weeks now, I've had an error-page coming up when I try to edit a review.

Funny thing is, when I open a Forum page in a new tab, the problem's gone and I can edit my heart out. Also strange is the fact that later, when I again close the Forum tab, I still can edit.

After having closed my browser and come back, I again am unable to edit and have to open the Forum page to get rid of the error.

I'm using Firefox as a browser, and recently was upgraded to the 3.05 version. Maybe that has sumtin to do with it? Seems I for some reason can no longer add my cookie to the jar...

Ah, almost forgot: the error reads "Unable to add cookies, header already sent.

A qlitch at times for some reason especially with firefox,, doesn't seem to happen with IE
