Is it me or is this site hoaching wi tuft? lol
*a wee wink to Asia*
Here is a slightly sensible question!
Is it just a Scottish phenonemon that when using the past tense of jump we say jamp instead if jumped?
I tried for years to justify this to my parents by using the example of come/came but it doesn't really work properly - but i loved saying it to them! "today i might come, yesterday i came" *sniggers like a wain*
Is this national or even international?

I've never heard that in any Northern English accents, which tend to be pretty wacky. But the good thing about your tenunous use of grammar is that if the thought of licking jam off someone makes you damp, and encourages you to jump someone, then that's jamp all over.

Asia, stop flirting with Silke :)
I see MO made it onto your new AV, well her foot anyway. lol, VERY sexy.
Anyway, back to Scottish Speak (Renton in Trainspotting)
I hate being Scottish. ... Some people hate the English, but I don't. They're just wankers. We, on the other hand, are colonized by wankers. We can't even pick a decent culture to be colonized by."
Excellent line and no offense to the English at all, it's just typically Scottish. lol. :)
Oi...*gives Dundee the eye*...you're welcome to join the flirting if you want. *takes another look at Dundees profile...then at Asia's...drools and smiles* Anytime! ;)Quote:

Silke, as super moderator, have you got the power to insist he smiles for his photo if he's going to use it as an AV? The man is always moody in photos...try this Dundee >>> *Grins*
*wink*

Hmm, not sure it came with the tool kit but I'll try. Then again...I like the moody touch as well...*ponders*
Just one look at your AV Silke and a wee growl- that should do the trick, and he's not adverse to German accents himself
(mind Clara Dundee?)
*Smiles*

Didnt work for the SNP though did it. lol.
Same year as Braveheart and Alec Salmond was in full flow. lol.
And I can't believe your man had to work with Sheridan the Shagging Socialist on his birthday yesterday. LOL. Couldn't make that up if you tried. :)
My humble contribution to the question of Scots Speak -
actually, Robin Williams's contribution.
One of the funniest sketches ever! *smiles, remembering that he's seen it about 39 times*
