My absolute favorite is breaking somebody. Completely breaking their will... I love taking a sub through the emotional progression of interest/curiosity, to enjoyment and pleasure, to suffering, pain, or just plain misery, then to the point where they'll struggle and plead or beg (sincerely) for something to stop. And then pushing them just past that point, where they stop resisting and completely submit emotionally to whatever's happening to them.
