I wasn't being damning, I was just being forthright. There is absolutely nothing wrong with self-taught and even some benefits if you're dedicated enough. I wish you all the best. Good Luck!Quote:

I guess my advice to you BabySub is not to worry about the every detail - and don't concern yourself with styalistic realism. Go for the passion, forget about the technical. Use your detail to convey facts, but dont let it dominate your message.
Hmm. Ok. :p The human body isn't something I have a lot of experience in drawing, so that's partly why I'm doing so much detail right now. I want to get a 'feel for it' if that's the right wording. So far I've done 5 or 6 with mostly women (one man) and it's trial and error. There are many styles and techniques that I'd like to try, but with working, I have limited time just now. Lol, when I'm not working, I have limited funds, so therein lies part of my problem.
Europa: I am dedicated enough, art is the only thing I've wanted to do my entire life. For various reasons I've never had the chance before, but now I am determined to at least give it a go. If I don't, I'll be constantly asking myself 'what if..' and I don't want that. It might take me a while, but I'm willing to persevere. Self taught, to me, is fascinating. I'm learning much, on my own, and finding a joy to do.
Rip: I do fully intend to do my own thing, which is probably a cross between fantasy and erotic, so we'll see what happens there. I think that's probably why I've done a couple of angels, experimenting with wings, lol. I know exactly what you mean about 'mystery' in art, and I personally love seeing that. I love to be able to see my own imaginings and thoughts in images; but then I also love to be able to see the full thing too. ::shrugs:: I guess I want it both ways. :o
This is a print of a life study I did. There was no attempt at making the image erotic and vamping up the woman but I like its ordinariness. I find the ordinariness of women erotic in images and in life. I doubt anyone else would find this image erotic but I suppose I know the model. Like Rip says, erotic tastes are personal. You make your images and hope they communicate. I digress. I just wanted to illustrate how little detail an image needs.Quote:

I hope you enjoyed these.
Number 51 is Natasha Romanova, from Marvel Comics. Love the expression on her face; someone ogling her is about to get his butt kicked.
This is a page from my sketchbook showing small lightening sketches of Carolyn my model, masturbating. The sketches took between 15-30 seconds to do, maybe less I guess. Anyway, very quick sketches. The idea was just to get a general feel of my subject before I do more involved work.
I didn't ask her to masturbate, she just did. I had serious intent as I was making some preliminary studies for some print work. It took me by surprise. After a brief hesitation, I just kept on drawing. I thought it might be interesting to show action sketches, since I have complained several times about work being too posed and overworked.
oh i absolutely love the drawing with the cuffs and the hands, it makes me feel the way i feel about my Master, it gives me goose bumps!
when i look at it i can almost feel Him near me...
thank You :)
Thank you Bug... that's exactly how I feel when I look at it about my Dom... that's why it was drawn. It's nice to know I'm not alone.
:)
(I presume it was my drawing...? lol)
A quick sketch I did early this evening of Carolyn
A sketch I made of Carolyn earlier this evening.
Great sketches PE. You are a luckey guy to have such lovely and willing models available.
It's always the same problem Dngnkeeper, the grass is always greener...etc etc She is lovely though.Quote:

If I was looking for a beautiful young woman to pose for me, you can bet your life hell would freeze over before I found one. So now we have a deal, she poses for me and I teach her print techniques and let her use my equipement. I guess it's a variation of that old come on 'let me show you my etchings'. She has the potential to be better than me, if she remains conscientious.
Last one of Carolyn from the other evening.
A sketch of Carolyn done this afternoon.
The studio is cold so I let Carolyn keep her boots and sweater on. I actually find it more erotic than purely naked.
Carolyn at my feet. (Actually she wants to get away and go down the West End for a night with her mates!)
I've mostly left my drawings half way, this was the only one that i finished, almost! :P

I sent Carolyn down to get some coffees this morning from the local cafe we use dressed in nothing but my tee shirt. Rita who owns the cafe thinks all artists are nuts so it was hardly a public scene, she wouldn't raise her eyebrows if we all walked in naked.
When she came back I asked Carolyn to pose for me holding the coffees but she couldn't stop fidgeting (that's my excuse) because the coffee cups were too hot and I just couldn't get the drawing right. By the time I gave up the coffee was cold so I sent Carolyn down to get some more coffees while I thought of a suitable punishment. When she came back we drank the coffee and I made her pose for her punishment. My hand in the drawing is artistic licence as I only have two hands and one arm is not about ten foot long.
Oh it was the first time she had experienced hot wax dripping onto her genitals. Afterwards she mused like some wine connoiseur and then said it bloody hurt but it does leave a warm after glow that's nice. Hmm maybe I should be more fiendish in my punishments.
Not technically a BDSM drawing but while I was making this drawing I was quizzing Sue Anne and Carolyn about subbing, their desires and bi-curiousity so it felt very much like a scene to me. I had my first BDSM experience with Sue-Anne some 15 years ago, which was very instinctual, then I had a long gap between my next BDSM rlationship. Carolyn is my current play partner. Though from what they were telling me about their desires, it had me wondering if there is going to be much room for me in the future. *sigh* Have fun while one can I guess!
Sue-Anne and Carolyn having a bi moment. They went where they went and I just drew...hmm and tied the knots because Carolyn hasn't a clue how to.
ProjectEuropa your drawings are beautiful as are Sue-Anne and Carolyn. I just wanted to let you know how much I enjoy them all.
If you enjoy them I will keep doing them and take a little more time over them. I was going to make the one I posted tonight the last one.Quote:

Please keep posting them you are very talented.
I agree. But then I tend to like sketch drawings. :)
I think your drawings are very nice Europa. :applaus:
Thanks Jadetiger and Pandora and thanks to the people who have PMed me with compliments. I thought my little self indulgence might have irritated. I've been surprised by the response. I made these quick sketches on scraps of paper laying around the studio as I didn't really take them seriously but maybe I should rethink. Carolyn and Sue-Anne said thank you for the compliment Jadetiger. This is probably going to be the last one for a week or so as I go away at the weekend, going to miss you all.
Carolyn and Sue-Anne are getting into one another and have been complaining my studio is so cold so I guess they will be glad for a rest from me too. I'll make some more sketches when I get back. I can't make up my mind whether to keep them as quick sketches or more finished drawings. We'll see.
these are posted with written permission from the artist great gonzo from renderotica.com
this thread is really interesting, i particularly loved boris and betty, was actually laughing out loud :)
great work, i was amazed at some of the drawings, i newer new you could do so much with just a pencil
I'm a sucker for compliments. Hope you like this one.Quote:

Hello, PE
I must say I enjoy your art very much! It is detailed in way that for me that it is very real, sometime the womens hair is a little messy, and their expressions on there faces are real, they aren't perfect. And usually when in the act of being intimate it is always pretty, (sorta) but is a bit sloppy, and facial expressions aren't always ecstasy but of confusion or simply pleasure, that your face isn't always smiling. Your pictures depict real people. I like that.
Thank you for sharing, and keep them coming.

Thanks very much wannabeXopsed, it's really kind of you to say so. It really makes the effort worthwhile. At first I thought I would be criticized for being a little self indulgent but its really warming to know people enjoy them.Quote:

The whole process is becoming something of a virus, a nice one though. It started with Carolyn modelling for me for a simple drawing and now I have four people willing to do almost anything as long as I have my pencil and pad in my hand.
