Server Issues, Etc

Hi.

First off, I have visited this site for years and appreciate the archive of stories and all the effort of everyone who has done this.

But I have 2 questions:

1) I have sent messages to people in the forums and in my "Sent" box there is nothing. I have sent site messages and emails, so why nothing here? I can handle being ignored by them, but I am not sure they even get my message given this.
2) Chat seems totally broken?
3) Where are the authors? Story updates have been very sparse?

Anyway.. just asking, wondering what happened as this used to be an active and good place...

I wish I knew what had happened, esp. to chat; you're right. I DID used to be a very good place, and is much missed.

I agree Haddock it appears the site is just being left to dangle w/o any direction. Chat is not operating and private messaging isn't working either. There is very little to interest anyone. I wonder if there isn't some way to take it over and refresh it.......Donald

help help help.. I cannot get into chat. Just a black screen. I appreciate there have been a few problems, just wondering if i should change browser. I am using chrome right now do i need to anything like update java? I miss you all so so terribly

I havent been able to get in either wicker, been a long time since I was able to get into chat.

it's up for a couple of hours then poof gone....

much for the new server curing everything....
and NOT a peep from T on wtf Is going on.. this keeps up and T as you like to say....

I seldom check back here for news. That is because it was a bustling, actively site once and now it's rundown. I have a few observations but I don't want to blame it on Torq.

Well, I consider this site more or less dying. Sorry to say that, but it has been going downhill for longer now.

There are only occassional story updates now (the last had a hiatus of two and a half months), where there used to be at least one update a week. The forums weren't working for over a year and haven't been back to normal since then (the activity is, measured against the former times, nearly zero). The site is the same, where story reviewing still isn't working properly (SQL-errors). Some authors wrote on their blogs, that their stories weren't published here, too.

I know, that a site like this is needing time to be maintained properly, so I don't want to blame Torq. But what has happening to bdsmlibrary is a damned shame, as it WAS by far the best site on the internet for bdsm stories and discussions.

I still hope, it will come back to it's former glory.

Did you experience the same issues the past few days?

I just found this site and am enjoying the stories very much. Before I came here my pc was severely infected with malware/virus from other sites I visited. Can anyone comment on the possibility of that risk on this site and/or others? I enjoy BDSM Library and want to continue visiting here.

i would always recommend that you run a decent anti-virus and anti-malware software on your computer. If you need something free, Avast or AVG are both good anti-virus solutions. There's also Malwarebytes, which focuses on malware.

If you run those, always, you should be safe from most viruses.

I think its just standard bb code. Let me check fast:

Red [ C O L O R = " r e d " ] R e d [ / C O L O R ]
Pink [ C O L O R = E E 8 2 E E ] P i n k [ / C O L O R ]
Green [ C O L O R = 2 2 8 B 2 2 ] G r e e n [ / C O L O R ]

Ok, its just standard bb code. (COLOR=_______) TEXT HERE (/COLOR) where ___ is a color code, and you replace ( & ) with [ & ].

Do I put that in every post that I make or is there a setting that saves it and thank you for replying

I don,t think so. You can try to ask the admins. They usually hang out in chat around midday (US time).

Hello, here is advice, but I dont see any "save " buttons anywhere...where is that "left pane" ment to be?

I suddenly get lots of pop up ads clicking any link.. already when logging in. can this be fixed?

I'm just bumping this.
I can't continue coming to the Library if this isn't resolved soon. The pop ups downloaded programs onto my cellphone.

I will check again in a few days and I do hope it can be resolved very soon. I will miss coming here.

I've had the same problem. I can't get rid of the pop-up ads and they are annoying. If this continues I will also leave this site, and I will miss it, especially playing the games and doing role play.

I was the Post Last October of 2017 that New Stories would be uploaded soon,that was 4 Months ago, when will the New Submissions be Posted?

Glad to see the forums back; I almost gave up trying to open every day. By the number of new posts it looks like a lot of regulars may have. Hope they have another look 'cause back in the day there was a lot of interesting stuff
